Eric helps clients design and build successful renewable energy businesses by advising on how projects and portfolios large and small can maximize their value through well-informed negotiation, efficient diligence and acquisition techniques, and responsive and creative problem solving.
Eric has particularly deep knowledge in helping developers strategically procure the equipment and services necessary to develop, construct, commission, operate and sell renewable energy projects of all sizes, and in helping investors evaluate the development work of potential investments. Development and procurement managers excel at sourcing and pricing a project’s needs, and Eric can build on this by bringing these contracts to completion with deep market knowledge, in a way best suited to the client’s commercial objectives and so that they withstand the scrutiny of project investors, lenders and buyers. Eric balances work for utility-scale projects with the growing distributed energy generation and storage sector, both of which recently include negotiation of contracts to “safe harbor” equipment or construction activities to preserve higher levels of ITC or PTC. He has represented energy project developers, equipment suppliers and installers, publicly-owned utilities, private equity investors and other parties in developing energy projects from very early stages of securing technology and land/resource rights to buying and selling operating assets, and everything in between.

She has extensive experience working on regulatory compliance at the state level, advising on energy purchase and storage, resource adequacy, central procurement, renewables portfolio standard, integrated resource planning, reliability, distributed energy resources, energy efficiency, microgrid commercialization and offshore wind development.
She represents developers, power producers, community choice aggregators and utilities in bilateral negotiations for the purchase and sale of energy resources, including solar, wind and geothermal resources.
Rose has experience litigating patents from the investigatory, pre-suit phase, discovery, expert discovery phase up to trial and post-trial. Rose’s experience in technology ranges from complex server systems, semiconductors, electronic ticketing software/hardware, to shavers and pharmaceuticals. Rose has experience litigating small molecule drugs under the Hatch-Waxman framework and biologics under the BPCIA. Her wide range of technological experience and understanding allows her to simplify complex technology into digestible key components for judges and juries. Rose helped secure a General Exclusion Order for a small business client in front of the International Trade Commission, and was part of a team that secured a favorable settlement for Gilead in protecting their blockbuster HIV drugs Descovy, Odefsey and Vemlidy. The suit involved nine generic drug companies and 15 abbreviated drug applications and resulted in a favorable settlement barring generic entry for at least 10 years.
As part of a lean team, Rose helped secure a $17.3 million royalty for Continuous Composites, which is currently the largest award in the 3D printing industry.
In law school, Rose won the prestigious Anthony and Susan Taylor Written Advocacy Award for Best Brief, and a semifinalist in the Oral Advocacy portion of the Hale Moot Court competition. During law school, Rose also clerked at the Children’s Law Center of California, and advocated for abused and disenfranchised children in the Los Angeles county dependency court.
Her zealous pro bono work and advocacy continues beyond law school. Recently, Rose secured a crucial and timely win for the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund in convincing the Western District of Texas from enjoining the enforcement of unconstitutional provisions of the Texas Election Code in light of the 2022 Primary Elections.
Alex is recognized by Chambers and Legal 500 as an "Up and Coming" and "Rising Star" in securities litigation. He has extensive experience representing public and private companies and their D&Os, as well as investment banks and underwriters, in securities and corporate governance-related litigation and other complex commercial litigation. He also regularly advises companies and their boards on corporate governance best practices and fiduciary and disclosure duties, frequently presents and publishes on these topics, and teaches a full-semester course on transactional and shareholder litigation at the University of California Berkeley School of Law.
Alex earned his Juris Doctor degree,with Honors, Order of the Coif, from the University of Chicago Law School, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis.
Gargi’s work in protein therapeutics includes patent estate development for antibody and fusion protein therapeutics and utilizes her knowledge of the patent landscape in this area to inform strategic portfolio management. In the fields of genomics and proteomics, she has conducted diligence and developed portfolios related to the biochemistry of sequencing technologies, as well as to the associated devices and machine learning methods utilized in sequencing methods. In the field of cancer immunotherapies (immuno-oncology), she has developed portfolios related to cell-based immunotherapy approaches, including targeted immune cell therapies and immunological pathway interventions.
In addition, Gargi assists clients in providing intellectual property support for transactional matters, including diligence for mergers and acquisitions as well as financing rounds. Her technical experience is routinely called upon in helping to develop litigation strategies for complex and high-stakes trials.
Gargi has authored scientific papers in peer-reviewed publications, as well as articles discussing medical and biological research in general-interest newspapers and periodicals. Her doctoral work in Neuroscience from Stanford University focused on structure-function studies in ion channels, with an emphasis on using genetic engineering and electrophysiology to identify structural elements of potassium channels that lead to their voltage and chemical sensitivity.
