Vedika has devoted her career to improving the delivery of legal services. She leads Orrick Labs, the firm's skunkworks, where custom legal solutions are designed and developed for clients and lawyers of the firm. She is trained and skilled in legal operations and technology and frequently applies Six Sigma principles to projects.
Using her background as an attorney and experience in managing high-impact projects across a variety of legal operational challenges, Vedika is a trusted advisor to our clients and regularly consults on solutions for contract lifecycle management, document and workflow automation, process improvement, knowledge management, data analysis, AI, and other issues that are top of mind for the industry.
Vedika also supports practice innovation efforts across the firm, including strategy and implementation of legal technologies for lawyers, re-engineering practice groups, and driving and influencing change in how firmwide resources execute on service delivery. Her efforts ensure that a commitment to creative problem-solving and human-centered design are leveraged across internal and external solutions alike, positioning the firm’s clients to excel at supporting their businesses, and the firm to remain on the leading-edge of innovation.
In 2020, Vedika was listed to the Changing Lawyer Awards, and in 2023 she was awarded the Graduate of the Last Decade award by her alma mater, Suffolk University Law School.
Andy advises high growth technology companies, startup founders, private funds and other institutional investors on a broad range of corporate transactions across industries. He has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, advising companies from formation to exit on formation, governance, and financing matters, and private funds and institutional investors on venture capital, growth equity and private equity investments. Andy works closely with clients to provide strategic insights and outside general counsel services, advising clients on day-to-day governance, equity compensation and general commercial matters.
Andy also has extensive experience advising sponsors of private investment funds on their formation, regulatory compliance, and fundraising activities, as well as institutional investors in connection with various aspects of their investment programs, including investments in private investment funds, co-investments and complex secondaries transactions.
Anna advises clients on meeting the complex requirements of federal, state, and international privacy frameworks, with particular focus on the needs of cross-border projects.
Prior to joining Orrick, Anna practiced as a barrister in London for ten years, representing clients in cross-border disputes and enforcement proceedings, both in court and international arbitration. Her experience has included matters in India, Japan, Russia, Egypt, Australia, Thailand, and Europe.
Such transactions have involved both long- and short-term, fixed and variable rate obligations, public-private partnerships (P3s), commercial paper, swaps, credit and liquidity enhancement, and revenue bonds for transportation and utility issuers, as well as a number of sizable special purpose financings. Devin has also represented multiple clients in connection with chapter 9 bankruptcies, restructurings and other workouts.
Devin is a partner in Orrick’s San Francisco and Boston offices and chairs the Firm’s Transportation Finance Group. Devin is a frequent speaker on topics in infrastructure finance, having previously served as Chair of both the Bond Buyer's California Public Finance Conference and its national Infrastructure Conference. Devin has been a member of the Firm's Hiring and Summer Program Committees, and continues to help organize Orrick's annual summer associate surf trip to Capitola Beach. Devin is also a member of the Strategy Council for OneJustice, an organization dedicated to transforming the delivery of legal services to people in need.
Providing counsel focused on both preventing and solving problems, she has represented established and emerging digital health companies, hospitals, health systems, and pharmaceutical and device manufacturers. Emily’s experience includes involvement in fraud and abuse issues, data privacy, telehealth, and scope of practice matters.
Tony regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, growth equity, and venture capital transactions, as well as on corporate governance, joint ventures and corporate finance.
His clients include global strategic buyers and sellers, as well as financial sponsors and their portfolio companies in the life science, healthcare, investment management, technology and video game industries.
Tony has been recognized for his life sciences and M&A work by a number of notable publications, including The Legal 500 US, Law360, IFLR1000 and Legal Media Group. In particular, Law360 highlighted his work in navigating the complex life sciences industry and key partnership negotiations between biotechnology and drug companies.
In addition, Tony sustains an active pro bono practice, serving as counsel to nonprofit organizations such as Aequitas, APAI Vote, Chefs Stopping Asian American Hate, Rebuilding Together Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Film Society, and the Harvard Asian Alumni Alliance. Tony also serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law School where he has taught Takeovers, Mergers and Acquisitions since 2015.
