She advises French and international groups on all French employment and labor law matters. In particular, on the following matters: company restructurings, merger and acquisition transactions, transfer of activity, collective and individual relationships, hiring and termination of top managers, litigation.
Prior to joining Orrick, Chek-Lhy was an associate for three years in the Employment, Pensions & Benefits department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and for four years in the employment team of Linklaters.
Dr. Lynch's practice centers on representing clients involved in patent litigation and appeals, as well as U.S. Patent and Trademark Office post-grant proceedings. His experience encompasses numerous aspects of the life sciences, including small and large molecule pharmaceuticals, cellular immunotherapies, medical devices, and diagnostics. He has represented biopharmaceutical clients of all sizes, from start-ups to multinational corporations.
Dr. Lynch also counsels clients on pre-litigation strategies relating to their intellectual property, offering advice on matters including patentability, freedom-to-operate, patent prosecution and portfolio management, and licensing.
Dr. Lynch received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he graduated #1 in the evening program and top 5% overall while working for another international law firm.
Before law school, Dr. Lynch earned his Ph.D. in cell biology from Columbia University. His dissertation examined the biophysical aspects of cellular motility using advanced microscopy and imaging techniques.
Roz focuses on representing high growth technology, life sciences and energy companies at every stage of their business life cycle. He advises on a broad range of transactional and corporate matters, starting with initial formation and through to exits, including incorporation, governance matters, venture financings and M&A transactions. Roz also advises venture capital firms and other strategic investors.
Before joining Orrick, Roz worked with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in its Boston office.
He has long-standing relationships with a great number of utility clients that span many years and complex transactions, advising them on numerous taxable, tax-exempt, and tax-advantaged financings of all types for electric, gas, water and waste water projects and in restructuring and work-outs. These projects include five different nuclear plants, with financing through both the public capital market and through the U.S. Department of Energy.
Carl was one of the leaders in the development of joint action agencies among municipal utilities. He worked on legislation in 20 states to authorize their formation and testified before legislatures and legislative committees in many of these states. He drafted the first modern indenture for cooperative utilities which served as the model that is currently used by almost every generation and transmission cooperative. He worked with TVA in their exit from the Federal Financing Bank program in the 1980’s and in their financings since then. Carl worked with the major generation and transmission cooperatives that have exited the RUS program in structuring and financing their exit.
Carl has also worked with virtually every major investment banking firm and most major domestic and international banks.

Amanda counsels employers on a variety of employment law and compliance matters, including employee handbooks, employment policies and procedures, background checks, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, employment agreements, wage and hour compliance, workplace safety, paid sick leave, and confidentiality agreements. Amanda counsels clients in various industries but has unique experience with financial services, technology, retail, and non-profit organizations.
Amanda also has employment litigation experience, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under federal and state laws, wage and hour claims, trade secrets and unfair competition, and matters involving non-competition and non-solicitation clauses.
Prior to Orrick, Amanda worked for Clark Hill, PLC in Pittsburgh as a labor and employment lawyer. She also worked as a Litigation Associate for Holland & Knight, LLP in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she practiced primarily commercial litigation.
Jenna represents lenders, unsecured creditors, debtors, creditors' committees, estate fiduciaries, and other stakeholders across a broad range of industries. She brings a mix of transactional and litigation experience to her practice, which focuses on both in- and out-of-court restructurings and related matters. Jenna was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy for 2024.
Prior to joining Orrick, Jenna was a restructuring associate at another nationally-recognized law firm and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael E. Wiles in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Before becoming a lawyer, Jenna was an analyst at an international financial services firm.
