Larry Kane, a San Francisco corporate partner, represents newly formed and high growth technology companies and venture and private equity investors.  

Larry's typical representations range from  formation and early stage corporate counseling, angel and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships to angel and venture fund formations and lending and other commercial transactions.   Larry's practice focus on a range of technology companies focused on education technology and education services, software and SAAS based businesses, consumer products to semiconductor businesses.  

  • Larry also has been the coach of the Varsity Wrestling Team of Galileo Academy of Science, a public high school in San Francisco, since 1993. (Head coach until 2008 and assistant coach since then).  Larry was named to the Galileo Academy's Sports Hall of Fame, the Penfield High School Sports Hall of Fame and the Columbia Sports Hall of Fame.

    In April 2005 and 2009, Larry was also appointed (and then reappointed) to a 4-year term to the San Francisco Library Commission by Mayor Gavin Newsom. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Aim High Academy, Greatschools.net, Pivot Learning and served on the Board of the San Francisco School Alliance  and provides pro bono legal services to a number of charitable organizations.  Larry also served as the President of the Columbia University Alumni Club of Northern California from 1991 to 1996 and serves as a member of the National Counsel to Columbia College.

    He has spoken in numerous panel forums relating to corporate law and venture capital financings for the California State Bar, Practicing Law Institute, the HAAS School of Business and a variety of business associations and venture capital or entrepreneur associates. He has spoken widely regarding new legal issues relating to private companies relating to venture capital financings and issues for startups.
