Jonas Wang

Jonas is a member of the firm's Supreme Court and Appellate practice, with experience litigating appeals in state and federal courts across the country and briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Before joining Orrick, Jonas served as a law clerk to Judge Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Judge Analisa Torres of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.  

A graduate of Yale Law School, Jonas was an Articles and Essays Editor for the Yale Law Journal and, as a member of the Veterans Legal Services Clinic, briefed and argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. 

Prior to clerking, Jonas was a Liman Fellow and staff attorney at a leading nonprofit and litigated in federal district and appellate courts challenging adverse effects from criminal fines and fees.

  • Technology Sector

    • Briefed appeal before state supreme court on behalf of technology company regarding constitutional and statutory claims.
    • Provided litigation strategy analysis for global technology company.
    • Represented technology company in state court of appeal in lawsuit alleging misrepresentation, resulting in favorable settlement. 

    Pro Bono Matters

    • Represented veteran in merits-stage U.S. Supreme Court briefing in disability benefits case implicating administrative law principles.
    • Represented former Solicitor Generals of the United States in cert-stage amicus brief in support of death-row petitioner.
