I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at the age of 21. Stationed in Anchorage, Alaska and working as a C-17 crew chief at night, I completed my undergraduate degree by going to school full time during the day and during each summer. After graduating from The University of Texas School of Law, where I participated in Texas Venture Labs and worked part-time as a fund formation law clerk, I began working with startups and venture capital firms on early stage corporate transactions.
