Zac helps clients buy and sell businesses and negotiate investments. He counsels technology and life sciences companies involved in M&A and investment activity, including public corporations, private equity firms and their portfolio companies and tech startups.

Zac advises clients in mergers, buyout acquisitions, growth equity transactions, corporate venture capital investments, SPAC business combinations, take-private transactions, management takeovers, joint ventures, private placements and preferred stock financings.

  • Prior to joining Orrick, Zac was a member of the M&A team at K&L Gates in Portland, and prior to that, a member of the financial institution transactions team at Skadden in New York. Zac's prior experience also includes a stint at an independent law firm in Portland where he counseled founders and growth-stage companies.

    Zac enjoys bicycle tours on the West coast and commuting to the Portland office by bike.
