Zac Padgett

Senior Associate


Zac helps clients buy and sell businesses. He counsels a wide range of companies involved in M&A and investment activity, including public corporations, closely-held industrial firms, private equity portfolio companies and tech startups.

Zac assists clients with negotiating the terms of business purchase agreements and manages transactions. Zac also works with investors in preferred stock financings and with growth-stage companies in investments and equity matters.

  • Prior to joining Orrick, Zac was a member of the M&A team at K&L Gates in Portland, and prior to that, a member of the financial institution transactions team at Skadden in New York.  Zac's prior experience also includes a stint at an independent law firm in Portland where he counseled founders and growth-stage companies.

    Zac has completed two bicycle tours on the West coast totaling 2,100 miles and enjoys commuting to the Portland office by bike.
