Aaron Brecher Senior Associate

Aaron has defended criminal and civil enforcement actions by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Washington Attorney General's Office, and other state and federal agencies. He has also represented defendants in False Claims Act litigation initiated by private parties, as well as a broad range of other civil litigation. And he has conducted internal investigations on matters ranging from data breaches to harassment to suspected environmental testing fraud.

Lauren is experienced with motion practice in federal district courts and state courts throughout New York, California, Texas, Delaware, and other jurisdictions. She has a broad base of scientific knowledge and focuses in patent practice dealing with networked technologies and biomedical engineering. Lauren also practices trade secrets law and drafts motions for cases brought under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, New York common law, and the California Uniform Trade Secrets Act.

Prior to joining Orrick, Lauren attended Columbia Law School, where she participated extensively in the Columbia Science, Health, and Information Clinic and the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review.

Catherine represents individuals and companies across a broad range of industries in criminal, civil, and regulatory matters in federal and state court, and in investigations brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She also maintains a robust pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Orrick, Catherine served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel M. Carson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Honorable James A. Parker of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. Before law school, she worked in business advisory services at a public accounting firm in New York City.

Harrison Geron Managing Associate

Harrison graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law with the BCLT Technology Law Certificate and Pro Bono Honors with highest distinction. At Berkeley Law he served as Senior Executive Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and Co-President of the Space Law Society.

Harrison is dedicated to studying and advocating at the intersection of law and technology. During law school, for fun, he co-authored a comment to the FCC that was well cited in the reply-period and by the FCC in its subsequent order. This comment led to the paper "Title Zero": Ending the Infinite Loop of Classifications for Broadband Via a Technology Agnostic Definition, which won an award after peer review at TPRC49 and is published in the California Law Review in 2022. Harrison is also dedicated to positive social change enabled by law and technology. He was the co-lead organizer for the inaugural 2020 BTLJ/BCLT symposium "Technology Law As a Vehicle for Anti-Racism."

Harrison previously worked at a boutique patent firm in the San Francisco Bay Area where he aided in the drafting of patents. Harrison also brings experience in complex litigation, having worked at a plaintiff-side class action firm during law school. He holds a BS/BA from Loyola Marymount University in Economics/Political Science and a Minor in Natural Science/Physics. He further studied post-baccalaureate at Santa Clara University in Physics.

Walter Alarkon Senior Associate

He advises sponsors, debt providers and equity investors in financings and acquisitions of renewable power, conventional power, telecom and other infrastructure assets.  

As a 2021 Orrick Racial Justice Fellow, he served as in-house financing counsel for non-profit Common Future, helping structure the non-profit's novel Character-Based Lending Fund to provide capital to entrepreneurs in diverse communities. He has also counseled on a pro-bono basis social impact startups focused on healthcare and energy efficiency.

Prior to joining Orrick, Walter was a reporter for the Concord Monitor in New Hampshire and The Hill in Washington, D.C., and an editorial page contributor for The Boston Globe. He collaborated with authors on two books, “The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era,” by Michael Grunwald (Simon & Schuster, 2012), a New York Times bestseller and an Economist book of the year, and “Long Mile Home: Boston Under Attack, the City’s Courageous Recovery, and the Epic Hunt for Justice,” by Scott Helman and Jenna Russell (Penguin, 2014).

Paige Pavone Partner

Paige represents large corporations, public entities, and individuals in high-stakes matters in federal and state courts nationwide. She manages and litigates complex matters, including class actions, multi-district litigations, and cases set for trial. Much of Paige's work focuses on cases alleging exposures to or economic harm from various chemicals, including pesticides, herbicides, PFAS, and chemicals with industrial applications.

Paige effectively argues motions, takes depositions, manages discovery, drafts briefs, and negotiates settlements. Paige has participated in successful jury trials and has delivered constructive presentations to government actors. She was named a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Dedicated to her active pro bono practice, Paige has led a class of detained individuals seeking to remedy constitutional rights violations and has assisted individuals in their efforts to navigate immigration laws. Paige was honored as an Excellent Pro Bono Attorney for her work on mandamus petitions with the International Refugee Assistance Project.
