Gary has handled numerous class actions, pattern and practice cases and government audits, Most recently, Gary served as senior counsel on the Orrick team that obtained a complete dismissal for Oracle in OFCCP v. Oracle, a high-stakes systemic compensation discrimination case that garnered national media attention. Gary and the Orrick team was named "Litigator of the Week" by American Lawyer for their role in the successful defense of Oracle in litigation against the OFCCP. Bart’s work includes transactions, project development and permitting, litigation, agency proceedings, and enforcement actions. He represents clients in matters involving federal and state agencies, including the U.S. EPA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and state and local environmental and resource protection agencies.
Bart has also handled numerous matters involving federal, state, and local economic incentives, grants, and loan guarantees. In particular, he has advised energy and commercial development clients on applying for and obtaining incentives for the redevelopment of brownfield sites.
Bart maintains an active pro bono practice that has included matters involving conservation, human trafficking, and family law. Prior to joining Orrick, Bart practiced at an international firm and a national firm focused on environmental law. He also served as senior counsel on the staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, focusing on environmental, energy, and climate issues.

Carrie is a managing associate in Orrick’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Banking and Finance group. She advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, asset managers and other private and public companies on an array of financing transactions including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, private credit financings and liability management exercises and other special situations.

Harry has broad experience representing a wide array of clients in all stages of litigation. He's worked with clients in bet-the-company disputes from the pre-litigation stage through motion practice, discovery, expert depositions, summary judgment motions, extensive pre-trial preparations, trials, and appeals. Separate from his successes in both state and federal litigation, Harry has also helped guide clients big and small through arbitration disputes.
Prior to joining Orrick, Harry worked as a litigation associate at a major international law firm in New York.
While in law school, Harry served as articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal, interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, and represented inmates as part of GULC's Death Penalty Practicum. Harry won Georgetown's 68th Annual Beaudry Moot Court Competition and served as coach and board member of the Appellate Advocacy team. Prior to law school, Harry worked as a trial preparation assistant with the Bronx District Attorney's Office and as an intern at the United Nations.

Maria draws upon her experience in Washington, D.C., Moscow (Russia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) to approach her work with a broad perspective on international trade-related and other matters. Prior to joining Orrick, Maria worked at the Office of the General Counsel of a multilateral development bank, handled tax and legal matters at one of the Big Four accounting firms, and oversaw the design and implementation of an export compliance program for an international development firm and a U.S. government contractor.

Marc advises investment funds, industrial groups, listed companies, and startups, both French and international, on all aspects of business law, particularly in the context of acquisitions, disposals, mergers, reorganizations, and strategic partnerships.
