Hannah Roscoe



Hannah advises on transactional and regulatory matters in the energy and infrastructure sector, including complex project developments and financings, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts (including corporate PPAs and other innovative routes to market). She helps clients to navigate complex issues and difficult negotiating situations by providing simple and pragmatic solutions.

Hannah's expertise in energy and infrastructure projects makes her able to provide relevant, focused and highly commercial advice. She is particularly renowned for her experience in the UK power sector.

Hannah has also spent time in-house on secondment to an infrastructure fund and an energy trading business.

  • Hannah's experience includes advising:

    • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on the sale of 100% of its 49% interest in a joint venture with Falck Renewables S.p.A. comprising an operational onshore wind portfolio in Scotland and Wales to Infrastructure Investment Fund, an infrastructure fund advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
    • Nofar Energy, on the largest ever battery storage project in the UK (Cellerhead - 394MW) and, as majority investor, on the associated joint venture arrangements with their JV partner Interland
    • NNB Generation (a subsidiary of EDF) on all aspects of its proposed development of new nuclear generating stations in the UK, including the £18 billion Hinkley Point C project
    • Infinis Energy on power purchase agreements for its wind, LFG, coal mine methane and hydro facilities (including its corporate PPA with Lloyd’s Bank) and on several regulatory matters relating to the capacity market rules
    • Centrica on its acquisition of an interest in Barrow Shipping – the largest green gas shipper in the UK
    • The Dutch Infrastructure Fund in relation to the divestment of a portfolio of 48 European PPP projects and renewable energy projects in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Republic of Ireland and the UK
    • Six commercial lenders and EIB in relation to the design, build, financing and maintenance of the €1bn Ijmuiden sea lock PPP project in the Netherlands (including debt facilities of EUR 660 million)
