Global Arbitration Review (GAR) has named Orrick to its list of the world’s top 30 international arbitration practices, ranking it #20 worldwide. In selecting the GAR 30, the publication evaluated firms based on a wide variety of factors, including the number of merits and jurisdictional hearings over a two-year period (August 2013 – August 2015) and the number of bet-the-company hearings that the firm is handling in the $1 billion-plus range, as well as large cases in the $250 million to $999 million range.

In its editorial coverage, GAR noted Orrick's work on behalf of the government of Guinea, as well as its work on a gas pricing case heard in France. The publication also highlighted the addition of Charles Kaplan, the former co-chair of Herbert Smith’s arbitration practice, to Orrick's Paris office.
