Daniela has worked on a variety of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, Software, and Electronic technology matters (Hatch-Waxman, PTAB Post-Grant, and District Court) and provided support on multiple trials by preparing exhibit lists (and objections), deposition designations (and counter-designations), and demonstratives. She is skilled at working with experts to draft cross- and direct- exam outlines, preparing expert witnesses for trial, coordinating with experts regarding infringement, validity, and damages reports, and serving as a "patent owner" responsible for infringement and invalidity charting and technical analysis. In March 2023, Daniela received the California Lawyers Association's Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Services Certificate.
Daniela earned her J.D. from UCLA where she also obtained a Specialization Certificate in Business Law. At UCLA, she was Co-Chair and Outreach Chair of the UCLA IP LA Association, Internal Vice President of the UCLA 1st Generation Law Student Association, and a member of the UCLA Latinx Law Student Association. Before law school, Daniela studied Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, and Computer Programming at USC and published research in Electrical Engineering, Sociology, and Inorganic Chemistry.
Daniela is the Secretary of the San Francisco Bay Area Intellectual Property Inn of Court and a member of the Northern District of California chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Geoff's experience litigating and advising clients covers a range of substantive areas. He especially focuses on complex issues of constitutional law and civil procedure. He is passionate about partnering with public defenders and using his appellate experience to help death sentenced prisoners.
Geoff received his law degree from Yale Law School. Before joining Orrick, he clerked for Judge Stephen Reinhardt on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Justice Anthony M. Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court. Geoff previously graduated from Yale College and earned a doctoral degree from Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.

Nathan represents leading technology companies and achieves results in cases where their most valuable assets are on the line. Nathan’s practice includes federal and state court litigation with an equal split between plaintiff and defense-side representations. He has obtained multiple preliminary injunctions for his clients, won dispositive motions, and represented his clients on appeal.
Nathan focuses on issues at the intersection of high technology and intellectual property law. He regularly represents and counsels clients in disputes involving software licensing, emerging aspects of trademark and copyright law, IP ownership, disputes involving technology products and IP, and open-source licensing.
As a trade secret litigator, Nathan has protected his clients’ intellectual property in fast-paced scenarios involving emergency forensic investigations followed closely by obtaining temporary restraining orders and injunctions.
Prior to joining Orrick, Nathan served as a law clerk to Judge Dorothy W. Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge John A. Mendez of the Eastern District of California.

Brandon advises companies on day-to-day corporate and transactional matters throughout their growth lifecycle, from formation to early stage and growth stage financings to exit events, and everything in between. In addition, Brandon regularly represents leading private equity, venture capital and other institutional investors on growth, venture and structured equity investments, minority and majority recapitalizations, buyouts and other complex investment transactions. He also has significant experience representing clients in the cleantech and renewable energy industries on securities transactions and joint ventures.

Dr. Shah possesses in-depth technical knowledge of biologics and their development. Combined with her training in formulations and doctoral training in medicinal chemistry, where she synthesized and characterized dozens of novel compounds including Pemetrexed analogues, she brings a scientist’s precision to patent litigation strategy. Al represents issuers and underwriters in the issuance of credit-linked notes, collateralized bond obligations, synthetic convertible bonds and synthetic money market eligible securities. He also works with clients entering into various swap agreements, such as interest rate, credit default, currency, and equity swaps, and has authored alerts on various financial industry-related topics, including the Dodd-Frank Act.

Legal500 has noted Al for his work in structured finance, quoting a client who stated that he has "impressive expertise in all facets of securitization in general, which is immensely helpful when we are working on complex transactions."
