In the energy sector, John's work focuses on project finance and development, general corporate matters and miscellaneous investor arrangements in all phases of the development, financing, construction and operation of primarily renewable energy projects. In the infrastructure sector, his work focuses on the development, construction, operation, maintenance and financing of complex infrastructure projects with a focus on public-private partnerships.
John was a summer associate with Orrick in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, he served as law clerk for the City of Pittsburgh Department of City Planning and law clerk for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Pittsburgh Office of General Counsel.

Andrew also has significant experience advising on sophisticated real estate and asset finance transactions involving global opportunity funds, banks and other financial institutions.
Prior to joining Orrick’s Energy and Infrastructure Group, Andrew was an in-house counsel at GREE Inc. and Electronic Arts where he gained experience in various corporate and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, cross-border M&A and general corporate matters.

He brings considerable experience in wide range of renewable energy portfolio deals, as well as gas and power transmission and distribution projects and he has a market-leading offshore wind practice.

John Azzopardi is a Managing Associate in the Energy and Infrastructure team in Orrick’s New York office. His practice focuses on project finance and development transactions, with a focus on renewable energy. Since joining Orrick, John has advised sponsors on the financing of greenfield solar energy projects, navigating complex legal and commercial issues to achieve successful outcomes.
With a career spanning global law firms and senior in-house roles, John has developed deep expertise in drafting and negotiating finance documents and structuring cross-border transactions. His experience includes acting for both sponsors and lenders across a range of sectors.

Separate from his successes in both state and federal litigation, Harry has also helped guide clients big and small through arbitration disputes.
Prior to joining Orrick, Harry worked as a litigation associate at a major international law firm in New York.
While in law school, Harry served as articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal, interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, and represented inmates as part of GULC's Death Penalty Practicum. Harry won Georgetown's 68th Annual Beaudry Moot Court Competition and served as coach and board member of the Appellate Advocacy team. Prior to law school, Harry worked as a trial preparation assistant with the Bronx District Attorney's Office and as an intern at the United Nations.
