Prior to joining Orrick, Giovanbattista was a student apprentice in a major portfolio management company and an intern in a Magic Circle law firm. Giovanbattista has also practiced as junior legal counsel in the French branch of a leading US credit institution & investment firm.

Louise's practice focuses on the financing, acquisition and sale of energy projects and companies, with a focus in the renewable energy sector. 

Louise was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2016-2019 and by Euromoney's inaugural Rising Stars Expert Guide for Energy and Natural Resources Law. She was also shortlisted for Best in Energy, Natural Resources and Mining in both 2018 and 2019 by Euromoney's Americas Rising Star Awards.

Anne-Sophie Gidoin Associate International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, France


Anne-Sophie Gidoin is an international arbitration lawyer in Orrick’s Paris office.

Anne-Sophie Gidoin acts as counsel in international investment and commercial arbitrations under major institutional rules, in both English and French. In 2016-2017, she coordinated the arbitration and mediation law reform in the 17 OHADA Member States in Western and Central Africa.

Anne-Sophie also acts as administrative secretary to arbitral tribunals. She is on the list of arbitrators of the OHADA Common Court of Justice and Arbitration.

Before joining Orrick, Anne-Sophie practiced at the Paris and Singapore offices of another major international law firm. She previously trained with international law firms in Paris, Geneva, and Shanghai.

Anne-Sophie frequently publishes on international dispute settlement. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Russian.

Christopher Giles is a member of the Orrick Analytics group. The group specializes in using technology and project management discipline to assist firm attorneys with litigation and transactional tasks, particularly tasks that involve large volumes of data and documents.

Christopher works with litigation attorneys and third party vendors to manage the review and production of documents relevant to investigations and litigation. This work includes using early case assessment technology to analyze, categorize and cull data. He also manages teams of specialists performing document review, redaction, analysis, production and drafting privilege logs. Christopher assists the litigation team to prepare for trial, including drafting deposition summaries, factual memoranda and exhibit charts. He also works with practice office attorneys on transactional tasks, including contract review and due diligence.

Christopher has dedicated significant time to pro bono matters, including assisting trial counsel representing abused and neglected children.

Prior to joining Orrick, Christopher practiced criminal law, family law, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and estate planning in Pennsylvania.

Diana focuses her practice on antitrust law, specializing in Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act pre-merger notification compliance and counseling. Her experience includes advising clients on issues of reportability and interpretations of the HSR Act and regulations.

Prior to joining the firm, Diana was an attorney in the Premerger Notification Office with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, where she concentrated on HSR notification compliance and review. While at the FTC, Diana received the Stephen Nye Award for outstanding service.

Amaury Ginet advises French and international companies on corporate and commercial disputes before the French Courts.

Prior to joining Orrick as an associate, Amaury did a one-year internship within the Litigation department at Orrick. Amaury also worked at PDGB Avocats (formerly BMS' Avocats), in the economic regulation unit of the Paris Court of Appeal, within the corporate legal department at Criteo and the financial department at Capgemini Group in London.

Whether in litigation, consultation or investigations, Justin leverages deep understanding of his clients’ unique goals and challenges to achieve tailored results.

Justin has represented individuals, corporations and public entities in connection with civil lawsuits and government investigations.  He has managed civil litigation matters and corporate internal investigations relating to accounting fraud, harassment, securities laws and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  In October 2018, Justin represented the victim of a sexual assault in a jury trial in Yolo County Superior Court.  Sitting first chair at trial, Justin obtain a unanimous verdict and full damages for this pro bono client.

Prior to attending law school, Justin served on active duty for nine years in the United States Air Force.  He is currently a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve.

Chris is a recognized advisor in the energy sector, counseling clients in energy M&A, project development, tax equity and project finance transactions.  

Chris works with energy clients in structuring complex equity and debt investments, advises both buyers and sellers in the power sector in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and on the development of large-scale energy projects.  He assists his clients in mitigating and allocating risk associated with these transactions in conjunction with achieving their primary business and financial objectives.

Chris is recognized nationally for his client work in the energy sector.   He was awarded the honor of "Rising Star" by the National Law Journal, demonstrating “success on the highest stages” in managing transactions for clients, and has been recognized by the TheLegal500 for his work in project finance.  Chris was also commended by the Financial Times in their Innovative Lawyers Report in the category of "Driving Value" for clients.  He has served for two years running on Law360's Project Finance Editorial Board, and serves on the American Council on Renewable Energy's (ACORE) Leadership Council.
