Edwin Oswald, a partner in the Washington, D.C., office, is a member of the Tax Group. Ed's practice concentrates in the taxation of municipal finance including healthcare, charter schools, public power, higher education and non-profit issues, housing financing, airports and refinancings.
His practice also includes advising on post-issuance tax compliance matters including working with non-profit borrowers of tax-exempt bonds on new IRS Schedule K annual reporting matters.
He served in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel at U.S .Treasury Department, where he developed policy, legislative initiatives and regulations affecting public finance and structured finance.

Soumaya Ouzzani is an Employment lawyer in Orrick’s Paris office.
She advises French and international companies on all employment law matters. She intervenes on collective and individual dismissals, as well as litigation and pre-litigation issues.

Robert is a Career Associate in Orrick's Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, where he is a member of the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. Robert's practice at Orrick focuses on defending product liability, mass tort, and toxic tort litigation.
Prior to joining Orrick, Robert was a Senior Associate in the Pittsburgh, PA office of the global law firm Reed Smith LLP and a Senior Attorney at Houston Harbaugh, P.C., also in Pittsburgh. At Reed Smith and Houston Harbaugh, Robert represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation, with a focus on product liability, mass/toxic tort defense, and commercial contract disputes, including insurance coverage matters. Robert has represented numerous companies in environmental, toxic tort, and asbestos litigation on a national level. Robert also has represented both policyholders and insurers in insurance contract litigation. He has extensive experience litigating complex matters in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution.
Nadège Owen is an employment Partner in Orrick’s Paris office.
Nadège advises French and international companies on all employment law matters with a recognized experience on employment law aspects of corporate transactions. She regularly deals with employment law related issues arising in the context of restructurings (in particular social plans), mergers and acquisitions as well as more generally on all employment law aspects for domestic and international clients, regarding day to day issues, executive severance and relations with employee representatives and trade unions.

Kate is a Senior Career Associate in Orrick’s Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she is a member of the Public Policy Group. Kate's practice at Orrick includes assisting with compliance issues related to insurance regulations, estate and claims administration for insurance conservation and liquidation matters, and state legislative strategies.
Previously, Kate was a Senior Associate at Reed Smith LLP in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery group and an affiliate member of the Commercial Litigation group, where she began her practice. At Reed Smith, Kate represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, and she gained substantial experience coordinating and handling discovery, including eDiscovery. She also represented policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, including counseling, negotiation, litigation and dispute resolution related to a variety of insurance policy forms. Kate’s pro bono legal work focused on adoption cases.
After practicing law at Reed Smith and prior to joining Orrick, Kate taught two semesters of an online “Business and Organizational Writing” course for Chatham University as an adjunct instructor.
Tunde Oyewole is a Litigation and International Arbitration lawyer in Orrick's Paris office. He has represented investors, developers, States and energy companies in arbitrations under the ICC, SCC, CRCICA, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules of arbitration.
His extensive international experience includes disputes involving countries in the Americas (Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Canada), the Middle East and North Africa (U.A.E., Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Kuwait, Algeria and Morocco), Asia (China, India and Japan), and Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the Ukraine).
He has handled post-M&A disputes, corporate shareholder disputes, foreign investment disputes and intellectual property disputes in a number of sectors (engineering and construction, power and energy, mining, cement, real estate, and insurance).
Tunde is a Member of the New York Bar, and passed the Paris Bar Exam in March 2014 (Article 100). Before joining Orrick, he practiced as an associate with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris, where he worked closely with Jan Paulsson and Georgios Petrochilos on their forthcoming book on the 2011 UNCITRAL rules of arbitration.
Onur is an associate in the Düsseldorf office and a member of the M&A and Private Equity practice group.
He advises German and international clients in all aspects of corporate law. His focus lies on domestic and cross-border M&A and Venture Capital transactions.
During his legal training Onur worked at the M&A practice of a Big Four accounting firm and the legal department of a major German technology company in Germany and Canada. He joined Orrick in 2018.
Damon C. Pace, a senior counsel in the New York office, is a member of the Public Finance Department.
He has practiced in the area of public finance for more than 15 years, serving as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and borrower counsel in various revenue bond financings, including those related to public power, sewer and storm water, tobacco, higher education, student loans, hospitals and multi-family and single-family housing. He is also bond counsel to various issuers relating to their commercial paper programs.
Noel Pacheco, an associate in the San Francisco office, is a member of the Corporate Group. He practices general corporate law and advises both public and private companies in commercial finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law and corporate governance matters.
Prior to law school, Noel served nearly three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine and taught English in Costa Rica.
Nichola Padget, of counsel in the London office, is a member of the Real Estate Group.
Nichola specialises in real estate disputes and acts for investment funds, property companies and corporate occupiers dealing with matters such as service charge and dilapidations disputes, consents, rent reviews, break options, forfeiture and lease renewals.
Nichola's practice also covers development matters such as rights of light and preparing vacant possession strategies. She also has experience advising in connection with property related insolvency acting on numerous retail administrations and advising LPA receivers on their powers and duties.
Zac helps clients buy and sell businesses. He counsels a wide range of companies involved in M&A and investment activity, including public corporations, closely-held industrial firms, private equity portfolio companies and tech startups.
