Geoff Willard is a partner in Orrick’s Technology Companies Group. He is a strategic advisor to technology companies and their investors, helping clients execute venture capital, growth and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture and capital markets transactions.
In addition to his corporate transactional practice, Geoff advises clients on their formation and structuring, corporate governance, general licensing and commercial contracting matters, employment and equity compensation matters, and a variety of strategic issues. He also acts for venture capital, corporate and strategic investors, as well as private equity sponsors.
Geoff's experience in the technology space spans the telecoms, satellite, software, AI/machine learning, proptech, edtech, internet, digital media, ecommerce, fintech, smart cities, government services, life sciences, cleantech and manufacturing spaces in markets throughout the U.S. and globally.
In the healthcare arena, Geoff has represented medical device, health monitoring, healthcare IT, life sciences/biotech, and healthcare and dental care technology and service providers.
In the consumer space, Geoff has advised companies in the cosmetics, personal care products, candle and fragrance, home furnishing, and jewelry verticals, among others, as well as clients in the gym/recreation space and fast casual and high growth restaurant concept operators.
Geoff has been active in numerous organizations serving the technology community, including the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

William Wilson practices in our Technology Companies Group, where he focuses on technology transactions and data privacy. William is certified as an Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.William focuses on technology transactions, including counseling, structuring and negotiating deals across industries with a particular focus on the fintech, healthcare, and technology sectors. He also advises clients on data privacy matters and the intersection of privacy in technology transactions. William is a strategic advisor in these matters to startups and large corporate enterprises and to investors in such companies.
Jason Wu is a lawyer in Orrick’s London office and a member of the Technology Companies Group, which advises high growth technology companies and venture capital firms.
Jason advises technology companies and venture capital firms in venture capital transactions, corporate formation and governance, and other general corporate matters.
Prior to joining the London office, Jason was a member of Orrick’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in San Francisco, where his practice included representing companies in class action, insurance, and trade secrets litigation, regulatory proceedings, and a variety of commercial disputes in U.S. and international forums.
Jason has also been actively engaged with pro bono clients. His work has included successfully obtaining a grant of asylum in the U.S. for a Guatemalan refugee and representing artists in copyright disputes.
Daniel Yost is co-chair of the Technology Transactions practice at Orrick and a prior co-chair of Orrick’s Technology Companies Group. He is recognized for negotiating complex commercial and technology transactions and intellectual property counseling.

Harold Yu is a partner in Orrick's Technology Companies Group. Harold is based in Orrick's Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices.
Harold advises technology companies and has significant experience with venture capital financings, debt financings, public offerings, mergers & acquisitions and technology transactions. He is deeply interested in technology. Prior to law school, Harold was a software engineer at Oracle Corporation and an intern at NASA Ames Research Center.
