George Rigo is an M&A lawyer, based in Orrick’s Paris office. Specializing in corporate law, he is devoted to advising European and Asian industrial groups and holding companies on their mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, notably in the sectors of energy, food and car manufacturing, and services.
George also has experience on acquisition finance and restructuring matters.
George has a very strong expertise in the renewable energy sector, working alongside major players in the market and advising on key projects in France. George mainly advises on the financing and acquisition of windfarm and solar projects, lately he has counseled 123 Ventures, Impax, Nord LB and EOS Holding on different transactions.
George’s extensive experience on cross-border transactions includes negotiating and drafting international contracts or commercial partnerships with an emphasis on litigation issues succeeding the implementation of such agreements. Recently, George has advised Biostime, a Chinese manufacturer of nutritional and baby care products, listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, regarding the signature of an industrial and commercial cooperation agreement with a French dairy cooperative.
Before joining Orrick, George was an associate with Watson, Farley & Williams. He previously worked for Fidal Peat International Paris and the Paris office of Proskauer Rose.
Emmanuel Ringeval, partner in Orrick’s Paris office, is a banking and finance lawyer.
Emmanuel represents French and international financial institutions, corporates, private equity funds and alternative capital providers on French and cross borders transactions. He focuses on leveraged finance, direct lending and restructuring transactions.
Emmanuel has also developed a substantial experience in the energy and infrastructure sector in the context of complex financing and refinancing transactions involving loan and/or bond financings.
Before joining Orrick in 2016, Emmanuel was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
Gergana Rodriguez-Bacarreza is a corporate lawyer in Orrick's Paris office. Her practice covers all corporate-related issues, mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures and restructuring operations.
Gergana’s work includes advising groups and companies in various industrial sectors, notably multinational manufacturers and service providers.
She has gained a strong international experience, particularly on cross-border acquisitions, notably across Europe and Asia. She has also intervened on large deals and has extensive capabilities to coordinate simultaneous and multi-jurisdictional closings.
Gergana has advised on several acquisitions and disposals of French companies active in the sector of the renewable energies (solar and wind) and has also gained experience on the structuring of foreign investments in French cooperative companies. Her work also includes advising foreign investors with respect to their investment in France, notably by way of M&A transactions or by incorporation of new entities.
In 2012, Gergana completed a secondment at the legal department of EADS (now Airbus Group) where she was in charge of outbound investments in joint ventures. Before joining Orrick, Gergana worked in the legal departments of Dassault Systèmes and Alcatel and the law firms Brunswick and Bredin Prat.
A Bulgarian native speaker, Gergana is fully proficient in French and English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Russian languages.
Judith Rousvoal is a banking and finance lawyer in Orrick's Paris office.
Judith advises French and international banks, financial institutions on project finance, structured finance as well as on complex infrastructure projects.Prior to joining Orrick, Judith was an associate for two years in the Banking & Finance department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and for five years in the Securization department of Gide Loyrette Nouel.

Yann Schneller is an international arbitration and litigation lawyer in Orrick's Paris office. His practice focuses on complex commercial, investment, and construction disputes.
Yann has extensive experience in assisting French and international energy majors, investors as well as States and governments in various jurisdictions across Europe, Africa and the United States with a particular emphasis on disputes relating to the energy sector.
He represents and advises clients in ICC, ICSID, CCJA-OHADA and UNCITRAL ad hoc arbitral proceedings. Yann also acts as Administrative Secretary to arbitral tribunals.
Yann is implicated in pro bono work in North African countries.
Prior to joining Orrick, Yann was a legal intern at the OECD in Paris and at Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Hanoi office.
Laure Seror is a banking and finance lawyer in Orrick's Paris office.

Patrick Tardivy is an M&A and Private Equity lawyer in our Paris Office and the Office Leader.
Patrick advises French and international clients on all aspects of corporate law. He mainly intervenes on M&A and Private Equity matters as well as joint-ventures. He specializes in the sectors of aerospace and defense, as well as energy and infrastructures, and real estate investments. He also has experience in investments in Francophone Africa.

Olivier Vuillod is a partner in the Technology Companies Group in Orrick’s Paris office.
Olivier advises startups and high growth technology companies throughout their life cycle, from formation to financings, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as venture and growth capital investors. He has significant cross-border and U.S. transaction expertise in venture capital markets. Olivier also counsels on complex cross border M&A transactions in the tech sector. Outside his practice, he lectures on venture capital at the EDHEC Business School and the Paris Bar School. Olivier has worked in Orrick’s Paris, San Francisco and Menlo Park offices.
