With a passion for problem solving, Hridi advises clients from a variety of sectors on complex and multi-jurisdictional transactions. James’ practice focuses on corporate transactions, including both public company takeovers and private M&A, equity capital markets (including IPOs), and a variety of English company law and listed company and corporate governance matters.He has represented private equity firms, investment banks and corporate clients across a range of industries. James has particular experience in English law and UK regulation applicable to UK listed companies.
Katie advises corporates, investors and investment banks on a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity financings on the public markets, joint ventures and strategic investments.
She has particular focus on the international technology sector and regularly advises founders and corporates on ‘exits’ by way of sales to trade or private equity purchasers or offerings on the public markets. She has experience of acting on sales to many of the largest global technology companies. Recent transactions include advising Tails.com on its sale to Nestlé; advising DogBuddy on its sale to Rover; advising Stratto on its sale to Digital Colony; advising Cerillion PLC on its initial public offering on AIM; and advising creditshelf on its initial public offering on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Katie also has significant experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, recently including advising CDC Group on its $380m public offer for Copperbelt Energy Corporation; advising Bioenergy Infrastructure Group on its investments in UK waste-to-energy plants; and advising InfraCapital on its purchase of WightFibre.
John focuses on energy projects, carbon finance and trading, and infrastructure law, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy and distributed generation both conventional and unconventional.
John's experience began with UK wind projects and has moved into a broad spectrum of global renewable energy projects, including onshore/offshore wind, biomass, large hydro, run-of-river hydro, energy-from-waste and PV (ground and rooftop). John acts for developers, banks, equity providers, employers and contractors in this field. He has advised on projects around the world, including Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe and across the European Union.

Rebecca Dipple, a Professional Support Lawyer in the London office, is a member of the General Litigation group. Rebecca has broad commercial litigation experience, with a particular emphasis on professional negligence litigation.
Rebecca has acted for “Big Four” audit firms and global listed companies in a range of matters. These have included complex professional negligence litigation in the High Court, internal investigations and investigations by domestic and overseas regulators including the Financial Reporting Council, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
In addition to the above, Rebecca has also advised on UK and EU public procurement legislation including the application of the OJEU notification requirements to real estate developments.

Patrick's practice covers a range of corporate, venture capital and private equity transactions, with a focus on technology and intellectual property-rich companies.
Patrick’s experience includes formation and early-stage corporate counselling to later stage capital financing, M&A exits and management buy-outs. He has acted for founders, investors and management teams within the software, telecommunications, fintech, renewable energy and cleantech industries.
Prior to joining Orrick, Patrick worked for five years in the Global Corporate Practice Group at an international law firm, during which he was seconded to Live Nation Entertainment where he provided legal counsel to Ticketmaster on e-commerce, advertising and consumer-rights issues.
Alice Edwards is a senior associate in our London office and a member of the corporate group. Alice advises clients on cross border and domestic transactions in the areas of M&A, private equity, capital markets and venture capital transactions.
Alice frequently advises on cross-border M&A and has done so in a range of sectors, including in the mining and natural resources, technology, media and financial services sectors. She has also acted for issuers, underwriters and management teams on initial public offerings and secondary fundraisings, on both AIM and the Main Market and has significant experience working with high growth technology companies and venture capital firms on investment deals.
