Parag is a member of the firm’s Cyber, Privacy & Data Innovation practice. As a financial services advisor, Parag’s practice focuses on payments, financial technology and banking issues.
He assists banks, non-bank lenders, payments and technology companies, and their vendors with regulatory, compliance, supervision, enforcement, anti-fraud and anti-money laundering, and transactional matters. Parag has significant experience advising clients on compliance with the banking and financial services regulations, including FCRA, GLBA, ECOA, EFTA, TILA, FDCPA, and Dodd-Frank.
Prior to joining Orrick, Parag was senior counsel at Capital One, where he served as the company-wide legal subject matter lead for payments. He also was associate counsel at Funding Circle, where he focused on legal issues related to peer-to-peer lending and financial technology.
Sejal has a broad range of corporate experience and advises clients on cross-border and domestic transactions in the areas of M&A, venture capital and renewable energy.
Sejal frequently acts on cross-border M&A and has done so in a range of sectors, including in the technology, renewable energy and hospitality sectors. She has experience working with high growth technology companies and venture capital firms on investment deals as well as with fast growing technology start-ups on investment rounds.
Roza Patterson helps clients navigate the complex world of employment litigation. She brings an innate curiosity to her cases, carefully examining each matter’s risks and opportunities.
Roza is also an avid public speaker. She was selected to give the student commencement speech at her high school, college, and law school.
In addition to her employment practice, she uses her pro bono and community involvement to give hope to the voiceless and enact social change. She focuses on a wide rage of issues, such as public school integration, diversity initiatives, and immigration. Prior to Orrick, she also served in a number of community leadership roles.
Adrian is a partner in the Public Finance Department and Office Leader of Orrick's Houston office.
In public finance matters, he serves as bond counsel and disclosure counsel for cities, counties, transit agencies, universities, school districts and state agencies, including for streets, water infrastructure, transportation, rail, and power projects.
In public law matters, Adrian represents political subdivisions as general counsel, advising with respect to numerous issues, including development, procurement, elections, compliance, the Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act.
From 2017-2018, Paige served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dora L. Irizarry, Chief United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to clerking, Paige worked as an associate at a global law firm, engaged in complex commercial litigation, arbitrations, and investigations.
Frank Paz is a Corporate associate in the New York office.His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, formation and equity financings for early-stage companies, and advising on corporate governance matters.
Vann wins difficult intellectual property disputes, and helps clients use their intellectual property to build their companies.
As a litigator of patent infringement and related matters, he has obtained judgments, dismissals, and favorable outcomes in federal district courts, the Federal Circuit, the ITC, and in inter partes review proceedings. As a counselor on patent licensing and portfolio development, Vann crafts precise strategies which minimize legal threats and capitalize on emerging industry trends. Whether resolving today’s disputes or helping his clients plan for the future, Vann understands how to lead teams to successful outcomes, on budget, and in demanding circumstances.
Like his clients, Vann approaches his work with an entrepreneur’s mindset. Vann co-founded and is Co-Chair of Orrick's 3D Printing practice. Vann frequently speaks at conferences and universities around the world about the intersection of 3D printing/additive manufacturing and intellectual property law.
Vann draws upon his technical background to quickly understand complex inventions ranging from semiconductors, to imaging and displays, to chemistry. He holds a chemical engineering degree and worked in the medical device and biotech fields before law school.
Julie is an associate with the Public Policy Group in Orrick’s New York office.Julie helps clients facing state legislative and regulatory challenges develop and implement public policy campaigns across the country. As part of these efforts, she works with company representatives and lobbyists to develop state legislative strategies on complex issues, draft and provide testimony, create advocacy materials, and educate key stakeholders.
Livia joined the firm in 2015 and currently is a Managing Associate at Orrick.
Livia obtained her law degree in 2014 from Bocconi University with 110/110 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2016.
She currently cooperates with the chair of Commercial Law (Diritto Commerciale) of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences, Prof. Michele Mozzarelli.
Livia has wide experience both on local and cross-border M&A transactions, including industrial and Private Equity deals. Livia is also experienced with venture capital deals having assisted VC funds, angel investors and founders in a wide number of deals and she is member of the Tech Group of the firm.
Helen Pennock is a Public Finance associate in Orrick's New York office.
Helen has participated as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, disclosure counsel and borrower's counsel on municipal bond transactions in the affordable housing, not-for-profit, higher education, charter school and health care sectors.
Prior to joining Orrick, Helen was an Assistant Counsel at New York State Homes & Community Renewal. Immediately after law school, she was an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP in the structured finance group.
Roberto Percoco is an Italian qualified lawyer, Managing Associate in the Finance Team, based in the Rome Office.
He specialises in finance transactions with particular emphasis on debt capital markets, including Covered Bonds and Mini-Bonds, on which he has gained significant expertise.
In these areas, he advises major banks acting as arrangers and lead managers, and issuers.
He graduated in law at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", with 110/110 and obtained a Master's degree in Corporate Counsel at the LUISS Business School University in Rome in 2012.
He is Italian mother tongue and fluent in English.
Federico Perego has an extensive background in corporate and commercial law and dispute resolution matters. In recent years, he has been involved in several energy projects and in corporate reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, insolvency and liquidation matters.
Prior to joining Orrick, Federico was associate at Agnoli Bernardi and, before, at Pavia e Ansaldo.
In 2006, he obtained a LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of London.
Besides being admitted to the Milan Bar Association, Federico was admitted to the Roll of England and Wales as a solicitor (non practicing).
