Rohit represents several of the world’s leading developers of renewable and conventional energy generation projects on project development, M&A and financing arrangements.
He has extensive experience in the solar, wind, energy storage, gas and biofuel sectors, with a particular focus on California and other U.S. jurisdictions. Rohit's past deal experience spans energy and infrastructure projects in the Americas, Asia, India, Europe and the Middle East, and includes award-winning transactions.
In recent years, Rohit's practice has focused particularly on project development and project M&A transactions. He has successfully negotiated thousands of MWs of "physical" and "virtual" PPAs and tolling agreements, as well as a variety of construction, supply and other development arrangements. Rohit has also represented clients on the purchase and sale of renewables projects in various U.S. jurisdictions, as well as joint venture and other project asset arrangements. He has particularly focused on the development, financing and sale of domestic and international energy storage projects, including stand-alone, hybrid, front-of-meter and behind-the-meter projects.
Rohit started his legal career at an international law firm in New York where he focused on project development and project finance transactions across the globe. Prior to law and business schools, Rohit was an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse in San Francisco where he provided M&A and financial advisory services to technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Doriane Salimon is a corporate lawyer based in Orrick's Paris office.
Doriane advises French and international groups on M&A and Private equity matters.
Prior to joining Orrick, Doriane worked on corporate matters as an associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges. She also was a legal intern in the corporate departments of Paul Hastings and Veil Jourde.
Brandon Sanders is a corporate associate in Orrick’s San Francisco office, where he is a member of the Technology Companies Group.
Brandon represents high-growth companies and venture capital and private equity firms involved in the technology and life sciences industries. His practice focuses on general corporate counseling, venture capital and growth equity financings, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic matters.
Chanani Sandler is a senior associate in Orrick's Global Employment and Equity Compensation practice in Orrick's New York office.
With more than 12 years of experience in cross-border human resources matters, Chanani advises multinational companies across all industry lines on a variety of employment-related matters and global equity compensation. He globally manages large multi-country and large multi-function HR projects.
From an employment law perspective, Chanani advises his clients on a range of employment-related matters outside the United States, including global/local offer letters and employment contracts, HR policies and handbooks as well as termination and settlement agreements. He works with his clients to consider the employment-related impact of, and undertake due diligence for, cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
Chanani also counsels his clients on how to effectively design, implement, communicate and administer equity-based compensation benefits and other long-term incentive awards to their worldwide employees in over 100 countries. He also provides services in the areas of corporate tax planning, cross-border tax planning, payroll support and employee education with respect to global equity compensation.
He has presented at industry educational forums, such as the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) and Global Equity Organization (GEO), on topics related to tax compliance as well as effective design, implementation and administration of global equity-based awards and other long-term incentive plans.
Criselda Sandoval, a managing associate in Orrick’s Los Angeles office, is a member of the firm’s Banking & Finance Group. Mrs. Sandoval concentrates her practice in complex commercial finance transactions. She has experience in the representation of banks and other financial institutions and corporate borrowers in a wide range of transactions, including syndicated transactions, asset based financings, acquisition financings, bilateral deals, first/second lien loans and refinancings.
Joseph is a Managing Associate with experience in a variety of privacy and cybersecurity matters across diverse business sectors. Joseph regularly advises clients regarding incident response, as well as litigation and government enforcement that commonly arises from privacy and cybersecurity incidents. He also uses this experience to provide clients practical advice regarding their data innovation and incident preparedness strategies.
Joseph regularly advises companies regarding privacy and cybersecurity incident response, including directing incident investigations, analyzing potential claims and defenses, examining potential notification obligations, and advising regarding communications strategies. Joseph also advises clients regarding regulatory investigations, class actions, payment card brand claims, and contract disputes that frequently flow from the announcement of privacy and cybersecurity incidents.
Joseph also uses his experience to help clients leverage the value of data and digital technologies in ways that not only meet compliance obligations, but also support innovation, deliver value to the business, meet security needs and solidify brand and consumer trust. This includes guiding clients through the complex patchwork of federal privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations, including the FTC Act, GLBA, COPPA, HIPAA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and ECPA, state privacy and cybersecurity laws, including the California’s Consumer Privacy Act, international laws such as GDPR, and self-regulatory frameworks, including those covering online advertising and payment card processing.

Elisabetta Santo, a senior associate in the Milan office, is a member the M&A and Private Equity group.

Elisa has extensive experience in corporate governance and international contract law and advises prominent Italian and multinational corporations active in many industries.
Leah Sanzari acts as counsel to issuers, underwriters, servicers, placement agents and investors in connection with both public offerings and private placements.
She has experience in a wide variety of asset-backed securities, with a particular emphasis on residential mortgage transactions, esoteric assets including tax liens, PACE liens, oil & gas securitizations and resecuritizations. Leah has worked with numerous borrowers and lenders on financing and warehouse facilities for mortgages and esoteric assets and has represented both sellers and buyers of portfolios of assets, including mortgages and esoteric assets.
Leah advises a number of financial institutions and government agencies with regard to the implications of financial markets regulation, as well as in connection with complex capital markets, debt financing and other transactions.
Leah’s recent experience includes co-leading transactions representing the noteholders in two innovative securitizations of oil and gas wellbore assets of Raisa Energy, an EnCap portfolio company, and Diversified Gas & Oil, an AIM-listed public company.
She is a part of the Financial Institutions Industry Group, a multi-practice global group of partners who have client relationship responsibilities for financial institutions around the world.
