Kate is a Senior Career Associate in Orrick’s Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she is a member of the Public Policy Group.  Kate's practice at Orrick includes assisting with compliance issues related to insurance regulations, estate and claims administration for insurance conservation and liquidation matters, and state legislative strategies.   

Previously, Kate was a Senior Associate at Reed Smith LLP in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery group and an affiliate member of the Commercial Litigation group, where she began her practice. At Reed Smith, Kate represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, and she gained substantial experience coordinating and handling discovery, including eDiscovery. She also represented policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, including counseling, negotiation, litigation and dispute resolution related to a variety of insurance policy forms. Kate’s pro bono legal work focused on adoption cases.

After practicing law at Reed Smith and prior to joining Orrick, Kate taught two semesters of an online “Business and Organizational Writing” course for Chatham University as an adjunct instructor.

Nadège advises French and international companies on all employment law matters with a recognized experience on employment law aspects of corporate transactions. She regularly deals with employment law related issues arising in the context of restructurings (in particular social plans), mergers and acquisitions as well as more generally on all employment law aspects for domestic and international clients, regarding day to day issues, executive severance and relations with employee representatives and trade unions.  

Prior to joining Orrick, Nadège was an associate for eight years in the Employment, Pensions & Benefits team of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Tunde Oyewole is a Litigation and International Arbitration lawyer in Orrick's Paris office. He has represented investors, developers, States and energy companies in arbitrations under the ICC, SCC, CRCICA, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules of arbitration.

His extensive international experience includes disputes involving countries in the Americas (Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Canada), the Middle East and North Africa (U.A.E., Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Kuwait, Algeria and Morocco), Asia (China, India and Japan), and Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the Ukraine).

He has handled post-M&A disputes, corporate shareholder disputes, foreign investment disputes and intellectual property disputes in a number of sectors (engineering and construction, power and energy, mining, cement, real estate, and insurance).

Tunde is a Member of the New York Bar, and passed the Paris Bar Exam in March 2014 (Article 100). Before joining Orrick, he practiced as an associate with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris, where he worked closely with Jan Paulsson and Georgios Petrochilos on their forthcoming book on the 2011 UNCITRAL rules of arbitration.

Mitch has particular expertise relating to ERISA fiduciary and private equity matters, M&A transactions, compensation and benefit plan compliance, and the special issues encountered in connection with globally mobile executives.  His extensive experience includes work in such diverse fields as technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, real estate, energy, banking, retail, healthcare and the food & beverage industry.

Mitch's private equity experience focuses on “ERISA Title I” matters (investment vehicle and fund formation and operation) as well as the tax, employment and other issues raised by upper tier management compensation arrangements maintained by partnerships and LLCs.  This enables Mitch to provide comprehensive counseling to clients in connection with their day-to-day business activities and also their in-house operations.

Throughout his career, Mitch has been involved in numerous high profile corporate transactions, many of which raised cutting edge compliance issues involving employee benefits and executive compensation.  Notable engagements have included those for eBay, Dell, BlackBoard, Datalogic S.p.A., J.P.
