Stephen Ashley Partner Capital Markets, Technology Companies Group

Stephen Ashley is a partner in the New York office and a member of the firm's Capital Markets practice. He advises clients on a wide range of securities law matters and regularly represents both issuers and underwriters in both domestic and cross-border capital markets transactions.

Stephen's experience includes public offerings and private placements of common and preferred equity and investment grade, high yield and convertible debt securities, as well as liability management transactions such as exchange offers, tender offers and consent solicitations. Kevin Askew, a senior associate in Orrick’s Los Angeles office, is a securities litigator. Kevin has litigated matters in state and federal courts around the country, in arbitration, in administrative proceedings, and on appeal.

Kenton represents clients in civil litigation and white collar matters, including domestic and international internal corporate investigations and regulatory agency investigations. Christopher Austin is global co-head of Orrick’s Capital Markets practice as well as global co-chair of Orrick's Blockchain and Cryptocurrency practice. Ben Austin is an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate in Orrick's Orange County office.  His practice focuses on patent litigation matters.


Ben works on matters involving patent litigation in several technical fields, including semiconductors, graphics processors, and business methods involving computer networks.  In addition to his IP Practice, Ben has pro bono experience with matters concerning immigration.

Ben is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.  While in law school, he was a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and Ecology Law Quarterly.  He also participated in an externship with Chief Judge Frank D. Whitney in the Western District of North Carolina.

Ben graduated as a valedictorian from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering.  While at N.C. Margaux Azoulay is a Tax lawyer in Orrick's Paris office.
