Vincent Yiu is a managing associate in Orrick’s New York office and is a member of the Restructuring group.

Vincent advises major stakeholders in domestic and cross-border insolvency proceedings across a variety of industries, including retail, food, energy, materials, healthcare, and financial services.

Vincent graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in International Relations and is a graduate of Stanford Law School.

Prior to joining Orrick, Vincent was an associate at an international law firm with its Business, Finance & Restructuring practice, also based in New York.

    • Acting as counsel to bondholder group which backstopped SM Energy's out-of-court restructuring of $2.6 billion in debt.
    • Acting as counsel to distressed investors in the workout and bankruptcy of opioid manufacturers.
    • Acting as counsel to distressed investors in the Chapter 11 cases of PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
    • Acting as debtor counsel to Sears Holdings Corporation and its affiliated debtors in its Chapter 11 cases with approximately $6 billion in debt.*
    • Acting as debtor counsel to China Fishery Group Ltd. and its affiliated debtors in its Chapter 11 and cross-border restructurings of approximately $2 billion in debt.*
    • Acting as debtor counsel to Tops Holding II Corporation and its affiliated debtors in its Chapter 11 cases with approximately $1 billion in debt.*
    • Acting as debtor counsel to Central Grocers, Inc. and its affiliated debtors in its Chapter 11 cases in connection with the sale of retail and distribution operations.*
    • Acting as counsel to HPS Investment Partners as term and exit lender in the $449.5 million prepackaged Chapter 11 cases of J.G. Wentworth and its affiliated debtors.*
