The article highlights Orrick’s hire of Jim Tierney, chief of the Networks and Technology Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, who joins the firm in Washington, D.C. on August 22.
Under the Obama administration, antitrust enforcement has been more aggressive than ever. Bob noted that antitrust enforcement more closely aligns with the Democratic Party’s political platform. He also noted that antitrust enforcement would likely be as aggressive, if not more so, under a Hillary Clinton administration.
