Cynthia Larsen Partner

Sacramento

She has handled appellate matters in the U.S. Supreme Court, various federal appellate courts and in the California Supreme Court and appellate courts. She is a veteran trial attorney and has applied her experience as a former U.S. Department of Justice trial attorney to serving corporate and governmental clients. She recently served for five years as the partner-in-charge of Orrick’s Sacramento office. She also served for several years as head of Orrick’s Litigation Training Program and as vice-chair of the firm’s Litigation Division.

Before joining Orrick, Cynthia was an attorney at Condon & Forsyth in Washington, D.C. from 1982 to 1985. Prior to that, she was a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where she served in the Honors Program and specialized in civil trial work. Representative cases handled by Cynthia on behalf of the United States include: Sweet v. United States, 528 F.Supp. 1068 (D.S.D. 1081), aff’d, 687 F.2d 246 (8th Cir. 1982) (trial counsel); Pike v. United States, 652 F.2d 31 (9th Cir. 1981) (trial and appellate counsel); Gaspard v. United States, 544 F.Supp. 55 (E.D.La. 1982); Marek v. United States, 639 F.2d 1164 (5th Cir. 1981) (trial counsel).

Cynthia frequently writes and lectures on litigation topics. She serves as a pro tem settlement conference judge for the Sacramento Superior Court and as a federal court mediator.

In addition to being admitted in California, Cynthia is also admitted in Idaho (inactive) and the District of Columbia (inactive).

Daniela Glaser Managing Associate

Silicon Valley

Daniela has worked on a variety of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, Software, and Electronic technology matters (Hatch-Waxman, PTAB Post-Grant, and District Court) and provided support on multiple trials by preparing exhibit lists (and objections), deposition designations (and counter-designations), and demonstratives. She is skilled at working with experts to draft cross- and direct- exam outlines, preparing expert witnesses for trial, coordinating with experts regarding infringement, validity, and damages reports, and serving as a "patent owner" responsible for infringement and invalidity charting and technical analysis. In March 2023, Daniela received the California Lawyers Association's Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Services Certificate.

Daniela earned her J.D. from UCLA where she also obtained a Specialization Certificate in Business Law. At UCLA, she was Co-Chair and Outreach Chair of the UCLA IP LA Association, Internal Vice President of the UCLA 1st Generation Law Student Association, and a member of the UCLA Latinx Law Student Association. Before law school, Daniela studied Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, and Computer Programming at USC and published research in Electrical Engineering, Sociology, and Inorganic Chemistry.

Daniela is the Secretary of the San Francisco Bay Area Intellectual Property Inn of Court and a member of the Northern District of California chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Brandon Dias Partner

California Local Government Finance. Brandon focuses on California local government financing structures including general fund lease revenue bonds and certificates of participation; pension obligation bonds; tax and revenue anticipation notes; mello-roos bonds, assessment district bonds and other land secured financing structures; redevelopment financing; water and wastewater revenue bonds; airport revenue bonds; and public power revenue bonds.

Shane McCammon Sr Litigation Career Associate

Shane is a member of our team representing financial institutions in complex, high-value litigation involving mortgage-backed securities in federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.  An experienced litigator, Shane also has represented institutional lenders and private-equity funds in commercial foreclosure proceedings and complex contractual disputes involving the investment banking, real estate, healthcare, and tech sectors, guiding clients through every stage of litigation. 

Prior to joining Orrick, Shane served for more than 12 years as an active-duty JAG, excelling in a variety of litigation and leadership roles.  She deployed to Afghanistan as part of a small multinational team tasked with mentoring the Afghan National Army.  As a senior defense counsel, Shane led a team of Air Force criminal defense attorneys in Europe and first-chaired more than 40 fully litigated felony jury trials, ranging from premeditated murder to computer crimes. She also has significant experience defending federal agencies in employment discrimination matters.  

Shane has a robust pro bono practice, where she focuses on LGBTQ+ and veterans issues.

Isaac Sawlih Behnawa Managing Associate

Isaac draws upon his technical background in contextualizing complex issues into the elements of legal claims. Isaac is experienced in representing some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies through all phases of litigation in matters involving video-on-demand technology, patented software, and gaming system architecture. He has assisted in prosecuting several patents, has advised on AI-related business strategy, and has worked on cases involving patented designs, false advertising, unfair competition, computer hacking, and securities fraud. Sarah Stockley Partner

London

Sarah resolves disputes for clients in a variety of forums including international arbitration (both commercial under ICC, LCIA, SIAC and HKIAC Rules etc. seated in various jurisdictions and investor state, under ICSID, and UNCITRAL Rules and ad hoc proceedings) and sits as arbitrator. Sarah appears before the English High Court and the DIFC Court, is adept at supervising and managing cross-border litigations in many other jurisdictions, including the Middle East, West Africa (Nigeria, Ivory Coast) India, Asia and South America and works under both common and civil law regimes.

In addition to acting in traditional onshore and offshore energy disputes both upstream and downstream, Sarah has a keen interest in the renewables and alternatives sectors, combining her experience of infrastructure disputes, including those relating to power and energy transmission, with the changing environments in which our clients operate during the Energy Transition. Sarah has conducted cases in the renewables sector, and also frequently represents clients in mediation and uses ADR techniques to achieve favourable settlements.

Sarah is recognised for International Arbitration by Legal 500 UK, as well as being noted as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
