Alessandro Accrocca is an Italian qualified lawyer and of counsel in the Finance Group, based in the Milan office. He has strong experience in structured finance, banking law and banking regulation law.

In particular, he has participated in a wide number of transactions, such as debt, equity and structured products issues, securitisations, covered bonds, debt restructuring and derivatives, advising both domestic and international leading clients.

Arnauld Achard Partner Banking & Finance, Equity Capital Markets


Arnauld Achard is a Banking & Finance lawyer in Orrick’s Paris office. He focuses on banking & finance, derivatives, funds and regulatory and capital markets, and has developed a specific expertise in debt securities, derivative instruments, debt-like securities, optimization products, structured products and securitization.

Recognized by Legal 500 EMEA as a key figure on the French Finance market, Arnauld has longstanding relations with French and international groups in the services, manufacturing, energy and transports industries, such as Rallye, Veolia Environement, RATP (Parisian railway grids) and Technip which he advised on EMTN transactions, bond issuances or corporate financings.

In 2014, he also has been distinguished as one of the prominent lawyers in Africa by the leading African Francophone review Jeune Afrique. In Morocco, he has built up a significant experience and notably advised in June 2014 the Ministry of Economy and Finance on an international $1 billion debt offering.

Arnauld began his career as an assistant portfolio manager at UAP (now AXA insurance company) and worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young. Prior to joining Orrick, he was a counsel in Clifford Chance’s Paris and London offices and led the Paris Capital Markets and Derivative Instruments group. He also spent time on secondment within the Markets Legal Department of Bank of America in London.

Sarah Achille is an International Arbitration lawyer based in Orrick's Paris office. Her practice focuses on complex arbitration and general commercial disputes in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

Sarah has particular experience assisting French and international energy majors, investors and industrials on disputes related to the energy sector, construction works, industrial risk and investment disputes. She notably advises clients on issues such as breach of commercial contracts, unlawful withdrawal of mining concessions, gas pricing disputes and any corporate-related conflict.

Sarah represents and advises French and multinational clients in arbitral proceedings conducted ad hoc or under ICSID and ICC arbitration rules. Sarah also appears and advocates cases before all French civil and commercial courts.

Prior to joining Orrick, Sarah worked for 10 years at Herbert Smith Freehills Paris.

Charles Adams Partner International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, Corporate


Charles Adams, Jr., is the former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Finland (2015-2017) and Global Head of Orrick's International Arbitration Practice Group based in Geneva.

Charles' experience spans four decades at the highest levels of international dispute resolution, in more than 300 international arbitration proceedings as counsel and chairman or party-arbitrator in arbitral fora all over the world.

Charles also has 10 years’ membership on the Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).

Ian Adams Attorney Public Policy


Ian Adams is a public policy attorney splitting time between Orrick's Washington D.C. and Sacramento offices. He advises clients on matters at the intersection of law, business and public policy with a focus on highly-automated vehicle technologies and insurance.

His experience in the automotive technology and mobility industry includes testifying before Congress about HAV deployment and regulation, as well as representing clients AIMotive, Baidu, Getaround, NVIDIA, and Scotty Labs.

In addition, Ian is the associate vice president of government affairs at the R Street Institute, a free market think tank. There, he is responsible for coordinating R Street’s outreach and engagement at the federal, state and local level and is a frequent commentator on the disruptive impact of burgeoning technologies on law and regulation.

Earlier in his career, Ian was a Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow with the office of California State Assemblyman Curt Hagman, R-Chino Hills, while Hagman served as vice chairman of the California Assembly Insurance Committee. He also served as a legislative aide with the office of Oregon state Rep. Bruce Hanna, R-Roseburg, who was then co-speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives. He has also worked as a law clerk for California’s largest insurance trade association.

Ian is a graduate of Seattle University, with bachelor's degrees in history and philosophy, and received his law degree from the University of Oregon. He is a member of the California and Illinois bars.

Adeola Adeyemi, a managing associate in the London office, is a member of the Finance Group.

Adeola advises on a wide range of cross border finance matters, including project finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance, with a particular interest in and focus on Africa.

Adeola has significant experience of advising both investment banks and private equity funds on transactions in Africa, Europe and the United States.

Adeola previously worked in the Brussels, London and Hong Kong offices of an international law firm and prior to that trained and qualified at Slaughter and May in London. Adeola has also spent nine months on secondment to the leveraged finance and real estate finance legal team at Deutsche Bank.

Amy Adovasio Project Attorney

Amy Adovasio is a member of the Orrick Analytics group. The group specializes in using technology and project management discipline to assist firm attorneys with litigation and transactional tasks, particularly tasks that involve large volumes of data and documents.

Amy works with litigation attorneys and third party vendors to manage the review and production of documents relevant to investigations and litigation. This work includes using early case assessment technology to analyze, categorize and cull data. She also manages teams of specialists performing document review, redaction, analysis, production and drafting privilege logs. Amy assists the litigation team to prepare for trial, including drafting deposition summaries, factual memoranda and exhibit charts. She also works with practice office attorneys on transactional tasks, including contract review and due diligence.

Prior to joining Orrick, Amy was a law clerk for the Honorable Edwin M. Kosik at the United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania and a pro se law clerk at the United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Pascal Agboyibor Partner Energy, Infrastructure


Pascal Agboyibor, head of Orrick’s Africa practice, is a leading authority on African projects and financings relating to energy, infrastructure, mining and agriculture. Formerly leader of Orrick’s Paris office, he serves on the firm’s board.

Financial Times named Pascal one of the ten most innovative lawyers in Europe in 2014. FT described him as “passionate about bringing infrastructure and commercial stability to Africa” and praised his “in-depth understanding of local business markets and socio-political contexts on the continent”, particularly in Western and Central African nations. In a cover profile entitled, “The Man Who Whispers in the Ears of Giants”, Forbes Afrique noted Pascal’s “will to foster the emergence of Africa” and the “diplomacy, reliability and ethics” that he brings to client counselling and negotiations.

Pascal is advising on the financing of the Grand Inga, a planned hydroelectric dam on the Congo River that is expected to increase the continent’s energy output by 50 percent. He advised the Republic of Guinea on a number of complex and integrated mining projects. Pascal has also played a key role on the development of OHADA law, the uniform code of 17 West and Central African states, and financial markets regulation, and both local and global authorities regularly seek his counsel on policy matters. Pascal leads Orrick's Africa practice, a group of corporate, finance and dispute resolution lawyers worldwide and specialized in advising on African projects in a number of sectors including oil & gas, power, mining, agriculture and infrastructure. The team received, in 2013, the Best Africa/Energy & Infrastructure Practice Award (Trophées du Droit - Décideurs) and is recognized in Chambers Global’s Africa-wide rankings.

Her practice focuses on U.S. and international trademark and copyright counseling and prosecution, advising on branding strategies, and resolving trademark and copyright related disputes and litigation.

Prior to joining Orrick, Eileen worked as an associate for a boutique intellectual property law firm in the Los Angeles area. Her practice focused on U.S. and international patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, counseling, and litigation as well as filing UDRP Complaints and handling Internet Domain Name disputes and cybersquatting related matters.

Eileen also worked as a civil/field engineer for a General Contractor based in California and Hawaii, prior to attending law school.

Ben is a member of Orrick's Litigation Group and Supreme Court and Appellate practice.

Ben's work spans a wide range of subject areas, including constitutional, administrative, and immigration law.  He also maintains an active pro bono practice and participates in the Housing Right to Counsel partnership between Orrick, Legal Aid, and Bread for the City.

Ben previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas B. Griffith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and to the Honorable Randolph D. Moss of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Ben graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he participated in the school's Supreme Court Litigation Clinic among other activities.  Before law school, Ben was a high school English teacher in Philadelphia and worked for an education policy nonprofit in Washington, D.C.
