Stephanie Albrecht, a senior associate in Orrick's Los Angeles office, focuses her practice on regulatory and internal investigations and complex litigation.
Stephanie has experience representing companies and individuals in SEC and DOJ investigations involving potential violations of the securities laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, consumer protection laws, and other federal and state laws. Stephanie also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and representing clients in securities, trade secrets, employment, and other complex commercial litigation matters.
Additionally, Stephanie devotes her practice to pro bono work, representing clients in adoption, immigration, and civil rights matters.
Stephanie is a regular contributor to Orrick's Securities Litigation, Investigations and Enforcement blog and an Associate Editor of The World in US Courts: Orrick's Quarterly Review of Decisions Applying US Law to Global Business and Cross-Border Activities.
During law school, Stephanie was a law clerk in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Jen Argyle is an employment law career associate in our New York office.
Jen Argyle joined the firm in 2017. She concentrates in employment disputes, executive counseling, and has represented management in labor arbitrations. Jen enables her executive clients to avoid litigation surrounding employment negotiations and contract issues. She counsels corporate clients on litigation avoidance, conducts internal investigations discretely and efficiently, and drafts internal policies and procedures, further insulating companies and business owners from costly court proceedings.
Jen also represents clients before both federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and state and federal government agency proceedings. She has responded to claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment and she has also addressed wage-hour, misclassification, and disability/medical leave issues. Before joining the firm, Jen was an associate at a regional law firm where she represented management in all aspects of single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff employment litigation.
Emmanuel Bénard is an employment lawyer, respected for his deep experience with challenging restructuring and complex collective litigation. Partner in Orrick’s Paris office, he is Head of the Employment Law Practice in France and Europe.
Emmanuel represents numerous French and international companies on all aspects of employment law including international and cross-border issues.
His practice focuses on reorganizations, collective redundancies. He notably advised key players of the Financial, Metal, Food and Beverages, Pharmaceutical, Technology, Leisure and Music Industries in implementing economic dismissals and voluntary departures. He also assists these clients with employee representation and collective bargaining and sensitive individual cases.
Emmanuel developed a special expertise in collective litigation as well as criminal litigation and currently handles a number of sensitive cases arising from works council and health and safety committee information consultation procedure, professional elections, collective bargaining agreements and employees performance appraisal system.
With a long-standing experience on landmark M&A, he regularly supports HR Directors in dealing with works council information and consultation procedures and transfer of employees triggered by such complex projects, helping them achieving their strategic objectives.
Co-author of an insightful and pedagogic book on all labor and employment facets of companies’ reorganization, Emmanuel is described by his clients as “a guru in the field of employment law” and praised for his “business sense”.
Before joining Orrick in 2016, Emmanuel was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris, where he was in charge of the Employment, Pension and Benefits Department. Prior to that he was partner at the boutique employment law firm Bélier et Associés where he started his career.
Lola Bouillard is an employment lawyer, based in Orrick’s Paris office.She advises corporations on all matters related to French Employment and Labor Law. She also represents their interests before French courts.
Prior to joining Orrick, Lola worked as a legal intern with the Employment team of Horber and Gossin in Nancy. She was also giving legal advice in the Legal Clinic of the University Panthéon Assas (Paris II).

Ben Buchwalter is an employment attorney in Orrick's Silicon Valley Office.
Ben defends employers in class action, multi-plaintiff and single plaintiff lawsuits in California and federal court, and before state and federal agencies. Ben also advises employers on a variety of pre-litigation employment matters, including discrimination and harassment, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodation, wage-and-hour issues, and termination.
Annie Chen is a career associate in the employment litigation department in Orrick’s Los Angeles office. She represents corporate clients in complex employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, and single plaintiff discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.
Annie has experience in all facets of litigation, including factual investigations, preparing witnesses for depositions, taking depositions, and pretrial briefing and motion practice. She also advises clients regarding compliance with employment laws, including revising employee handbook provisions and employee commission agreements, leave of absence issues, requests for accommodations and employee terminations.
Erin M. Connell, a San Francisco employment partner and Co-Chair of Orrick's EEO & OFCCP Compliance Group and Pay Equity Task Force, represents employers in high stakes employment litigation and is an expert in equal employment opportunity law, pay equity, and affirmative action (OFCCP) compliance.
Erin’s practice covers all aspects of employment law, as well as complex business litigation outside the employment context. Erin has successfully defended numerous class actions, EEOC systemic discrimination investigations, and complex individual cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour claims. Erin has particular expertise in the area of pay equity, compensation analyses, and diversity initiatives; and regularly advises clients with respect to OFCCP and other EEO audits.
Erin also is an accomplished trial lawyer. She has tried several cases before juries and in arbitration, and has successfully has obtained numerous defense summary judgment rulings and other favorable resolutions in state and federal court.
Erin's clients include leading technology and Fortune 500 companies, including: Oracle, Facebook, Netflix, Pandora, Pinterest, NVIDIA, NetApp, Splunk, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Seagate Technology.
Erin is currently the management chair of the ABA Equal Employment Opportunity Committee, and frequently speaks on California and national employment law issues. She has published numerous articles on employment law in publications around the country, including the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law. She also provides training on managing within the law and preventing sexual harassment, and conducts internal investigations on employment-related matters.

Daniel Corbett is a member of the employment law group at Orrick’s Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia. Dan provides high-value employment litigation and counseling services to global leaders in a variety of sectors, including retail, tech, and financial services.
Dan has deep experience in a number of areas, including wage-and-hour class actions, trade secrets and unfair competition, discrimination and harassment claims, and whistleblower matters. He brings three years of intellectual property (IP) experience to Orrick, having practiced in the areas of copyright and trademark law prior to joining Orrick in the employment group. Dan co-founded Orrick's Trade Secrets Watch blog, and he continues to serve on the editorial board. The blog quickly established itself as a leading voice in the trade secrets area and has enjoyed a positive profile on Page 1 of The Recorder and discussion in media such as Corporate Counsel, Bloomberg, and Law360.

Prior to joining Orrick, Dan worked at Elliott & Davis in Pittsburgh, where his practice focused on trademark and copyright law. He has worked as a grant writing consultant for nonprofit organizations and as an intern with a public policy think-tank in Washington, D.C. Dan studied journalism in college, where he worked for a local newspaper and a public radio station.
Dan is an avid runner and completed five marathons in five consecutive years before (temporarily) hanging up his running shoes after he and his wife welcomed their second child. He currently gets most of his exercise chasing after toddlers.
Hélène Daher, is an employment Partner in Orrick’s Paris office.
Hélène assists and represents French and international clients in all aspects of employment law (pre-litigation, litigation and transactional matters) as well as in their day-to-day human resources needs, including national, international and cross-border issues.
She advises a number of large-scale international companies as well as French CAC 40 companies active in particular in the Financial, Food, Pharmaceutical, and Construction industries.
Hélène has primarily developed an in-depth expertise in major collective redundancies and reorganizations, including assistance in the definition of the strategy and in its implementation, as well as in top management packages and terminations.
She has also been involved in landmark M&A transactions, both in France and cross-border, advising clients pre- and post-integration, in particular on information and consultation processes.
Hélène also handles complex disputes involving trade-unions, employee representatives and executive employees.
Before joining Orrick, Hélène was Counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris. She previously worked as a lawyer at Hogan Lovells Paris LLP and Baker & McKenzie. Hélène joined Orrick Rambaud Martel in May 2016.
