eDiscovery Working Group

Orrick's eDiscovery Working Group consists of trial lawyers with experience litigating complex eDiscovery issues and advising clients on information management. The eDiscovery Working Group includes Alex Chachkes, Wendy Butler Curtis, Siobhan Handley, Ken Herzinger, and Cathleen Peterson.

eDiscovery Of Counsel

Wendy Butler Curtis, an experienced litigator, devotes her practice to eDiscovery. Orrick's litigators call upon Wendy to conduct meet and confer negotiations, develop discovery plans, and explain eDiscovery issues to clients, opposing counsel and the courts. She assists companies ranging in size from Fortune 100 to startups in creating and implementing preservation, eDiscovery and records management policies.

Orrick’s Privacy and Data Protection Specialist

Laura Becking works with Orrick clients to address international data privacy issues and develop best practices. Where necessary, she draws on a network of local counsel in more than 100 jurisdictions, with which the firm has negotiated preferred rates.

Director of Document Review Services

Cathleen Peterson, a special attorney and experienced litigator resident at our Global Operations Center, specializes in eDiscovery technology, privilege review, and discovery strategy. She has developed extensive strategies for ensuring document review team effectiveness, including testing, statistical analysis, second review quality control, privilege and search strategies.

Patricia Alberts, in Orrick's New York office, Jennifer Fiorentino, in Orrick's Washington, D.C. office, and Logan Herlinger and Curtis Heckman, resident at our Global Operations Center, assist our case teams and clients with eDiscovery and information management issues.

Certified Electronic Records Manager

Leigh Isaacs assists with records management engagements. An active member of ARMA since 2004, Leigh currently serves on the board of directors for the Greater Washington, D.C., chapter. She is a published author and speaker on issues relating to records management.
