Carl Leighton is a scientific advisor in Orrick's Litigation Division. Mr. Leighton evaluates, analyzes and reports on science-related aspects of expert and factual issues arising out of patent and toxic tort litigation.
Mr. Leighton's work includes analyzing relevant aspects of research and development programs, opposing expert's scientific positions, and regulatory histories. He assists in deposition preparation and discovery matters, and conducts in-depth research on patents and public domain materials.
Prior to working at Orrick, Mr. Leighton worked as a contract attorney and operated his own computer services company.
