Restructuring
Orrick’s restructuring and insolvency practice consists of lawyers throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia who represent creditors, debtors, committees, lenders and other related parties in all types of restructuring matters. We structure financial products to limit bankruptcy risks, advise alternative investors in their purchases, sales and workouts of distressed assets, handle financial restructurings, recapitalizations and rescue financings, litigate in Bankruptcy Courts, U.S. District Courts and state courts nationwide, and handle foreign insolvencies in non-U.S. jurisdictions around the world.
Our lawyers have been involved in some of the largest bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring cases, including General Motors, Chrysler Corporation, Lehman Brothers, Enron, Stone & Webster, Inc., W. R. Grace & Co., United Airlines, Quebecor World Finance, Nortel Networks and Chemtura Corporation.
We draw on the experience of other Orrick practitioners, including those in corporate, finance, securities, litigation, tax, pension and real estate, to deliver a full range of restructuring-related legal services to major financial, commercial and industrial institutions around the world.
