Tokyo Office — Global Finance

Orrick has had a leading role in global energy and infrastructure project finance for more than 100 years and our Tokyo team is a recognized leader in the renewable energy field with our innovative experience in the wind power industry throughout the world. For example, our Tokyo lawyers have served as counsel on the first large-scale Japanese project finance wind energy project; we advised the Japanese investors in the first wind power project financings in Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom; and we represented the Japanese joint venture sponsor of wind power projects in Spain that were recognized as the "European Renewables Deal of the Year" in 2003 by Project Finance.

Lawyers in Orrick's Tokyo office also assist Orrick lawyers throughout the world in a broad range of cross-border infrastructure project financings, representing project sponsors, developers, investors of equity and debt, suppliers and customers. Our lawyers work with clients in all phases of major infrastructure projects, including the development, construction, financing and operation of power stations, telecommunications facilities, pipelines, roadways, petrochemical facilities, airports and other major public facilities.
