Sacramento Office

Orrick’s Sacramento office was established in 1983 to give Orrick’s clients greater access to California’s state government. Additionally, the Sacramento basin has become a major area of business growth, particularly for Orrick’s financial, technology and biotechnology clients.  Today, with a population exceeding two million, the Sacramento region is one of the strongest economies in California (itself, the world’s ninth largest economy).  Orrick’s Sacramento office is the largest non-Sacramento-based law firm in the region, and the sixth largest law firm in Sacramento, overall.

With 32 resident lawyers, our Sacramento office offers our local, national and international clients focused expertise in bankruptcy and debt restructuring, employment, litigation (including intellectual property) and public finance (including tax).  We also have two full-time lobbyists in the Sacramento office, offering clients a unique, substantive practice in the area of governmental affairs, covering all aspects of state legislative, administrative, and regulatory law.  Working as an integrated, interdisciplinary team with lawyers from other Orrick offices, we also assist with corporate work involving public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate matters.

Across the firm, seamless client service is Orrick’s number one goal.  When needed, our Sacramento lawyers can call on the substantial resources of Orrick's other U.S., European, and Asian offices to provide clients with the kind of comprehensive expertise and support they need for their domestic and international transactions.
