Orange County Office

Orrick’s Orange County office, based in one of the foremost technology centers in the United States, is Orrick’s only office that focuses exclusively in one practice area, Intellectual Property (IP).  Opened in 2002, our Orange County office consists of over 15 resident lawyers who are among the most renowned IP advocates and trial attorneys in the United States.

All of our IP lawyers in Orange County work in concert with our firmwide IP practice to achieve our clients' business objectives by protecting, prosecuting, licensing, and managing their patents and other competitive intellectual property assets around the globe.

Our advantage is our firsthand understanding of IP in our clients industries, including electronics, semiconductors, biotechnology, medical devices, information technology, software, telecommunications, and entertainment.  Over half of our IP lawyers are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and hold degrees in one or more scientific or engineering fields.  Many of our IP lawyers hold Masters and Ph.D. degrees, and a number of them have significant experience in research and applied technology.

Across the firm, seamless client service is Orrick’s number one goal.  When needed, our Orange County lawyers can call on the substantial resources of Orrick's other U.S., European, and Asian offices to provide clients with the kind of comprehensive expertise and support they need for their domestic and international transactions.
