Orrick Advises Clients in One of the Most Significant US PPP Transactions to Date

New York – Orrick advised Fluor Corporation, Macquarie Capital, John Laing Investments plc and Lloyds Bank's private equity arm for the award of a concession for the construction, financing and operation of a commuter rail network for the Denver metropolitan area. The project, known as Project Eagle, will provide two rail lines, including a $1.2 billion train line from Union Station to Denver International Airport, together with a commuter rail maintenance facility, rolling stock and improvements to Union Station. The related bond financing for the project and an equity sell down by Macquarie to Laing and Lloyds closed on August 12. The transaction is one of the most significant US PPP transactions to date.
