International Corruption Risk – Managing and Investigating

On Thursday, 23 June 2011 Orrick ran a seminar on new anti-bribery regulations and legislation. Whilst including reference to the UK Bribery Act, the seminar focused on managing these issues internationally and included:

The implications for companies and financial institutions of anti-bribery regulations and legislation
Guidance on what organisations can do to manage risk and minimise exposure globally, including the implementation of compliance programmes
The practicalities of conducting internal investigations in overseas jurisdictions including in China, France and the U.S.
A review of what procedures and systems will support an "adequate procedures" defence
