27 Heller Partners Join Orrick
Group Includes Three Former Chairmen and Eight Practice Group Leaders

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that 27 partners and one senior counsel have joined the firm from Heller Ehrman LLP. The arriving lawyers include three previous chairmen of that firm – Barry Levin, chairman from 1999-2005 and most recently the managing shareholder of the San Francisco office; Robert Rosenfeld, chairman from 1993 to 1999 and Larry Popofsky, co-chair of the firm from 1988-1993.
Eight former Heller practice group leaders have also joined Orrick. Stephen Bomse served as Chair of the Global Competition Practice, Karen Dempsey as Chair of the Firmwide Corporate Governance Practice Group, Richard DeNatale as Co-Chair of the Insurance Recovery Practice Group, Edward Henneberry as Co-Chair of the European Practice Group, Mark Plumer as Co-Chair of the Insurance Recovery Practice Group, Joshua Rosenkranz as Chair of the Appeals & Strategy Group; Robert Rosenfeld as chair of the Antitrust & Trade Regulation Practice Group and Patricia Thayer as Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group.
In 2008, 73 new partners have joined Orrick, including 20 in Germany, when the firm merged with Hölters & Elsing.
