2010/11 JUVE

The 2010/11 edition of the JUVE guide ranks Orrick Hölters & Elsing as one of the top 50 commercial law firms in Germany, recommending our German lawyers for corporate, dispute  resolution, M&A, public procurement and state aid law.

JUVE recommends Wolfgang Hölters, Siegfried Elsing and Annette Bödeker as corporate lawyers, noting that Bödeker gives "good, very practical advice," according to a client. JUVE calls Bödeker a significant recent hire and notes that she was responsible for the firm being hired to advise on the restructuring of Citigroup in Germany.

JUVE recommends Siegfried Elsing in dispute resolution, noting that he is active on some of the largest ICC proceedings in which German firms are involved. JUVE also reports that a competitor calls Elsing "a first-rate German arbitrator, highly regarded abroad."

JUVE recommends Stefan Weinheimer, Wolfgang Hölters, Wilhelm Nolting-Hauff, Erich Michel and Oliver Duys as M&A lawyers, noting that Orrick's M&A practice in Germany has "very strong transactions expertise" and recognizing Duys' "continued success" in mid-cap deals.

JUVE recommends Heiko Höfler and Wolfram Krohn in public procurement, noting that Orrick Hölters & Elsing is "one of the leading firms in public procurement" and that the practice is known for its "swiftness and thoroughness." Höfler is "quick and competent," solution-driven and a good negotiator, according to a client, and a competitor calls Krohn "imaginative."

Finally, JUVE recommends Andrés Martin-Ehlers in state aid law, noting his recent work for Lufthansa in the Hahn airport dispute, among other matters.

JUVE also notes the significant recent hires of corporate partner Philipp Windemuth and tax partner Jutta Schneider, and the "flourishing practice" of Arno Frings, the head of Orrick's German employment group, who is "one of the most prominent employment lawyers in Düsseldorf today."

2009/10 JUVE
