Michael C. Spillner

Mike Spillner, a partner in the Silicon Valley office, is a member of Orrick's Intellectual Property Group. He focuses on patent litigation, trade secret litigation and other commercial litigation for technology companies. He has managed all aspects of complex litigation, and has represented companies in a variety of forums, including federal court, California state court and arbitration. 

Mr. Spillner worked for three months as a prosecutor in the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. He tried a number of cases to verdict.

Mr. Spillner volunteers with the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, in both its housing clinic and domestic violence project. He also serves as a volunteer captain for Rebuilding Together Peninsula.

He joined the firm as a summer associate in 1998.
