Ms. Didi Wang, a managing associate in Orrick's Shanghai office, is a member of the Corporate Group. Ms. Wang's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, employment law, general corporate and corporate-related dispute resolution.
Ms. Wang has been actively involved in several large M&A projects and FDI projects. In particular, her professional experience includes the following.
- Taking an active role in assets and equity acquisition projects.
- Advising on group structuring.
- Taking the lead in negotiations for joint venture projects.
- Advising on establishment of joint venture companies and wholly foreign-owned enterprises of different types, as well as its branches in Shanghai and other cities in China.
- Leading the client training to management team and/or employees for anti-corruption regulations and FCPA related issues.
- Representing employers in a wide range of employment disputes, with particular emphasis on preparing and advising on employment documents (including labor contracts, non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.).
- Advising on and negotiating labor and management disputes.
- Advising on winding-up of foreign invested entities and representative offices.
- Advising on franchise operation filing.
- Advising on and negotiating general lease contracts and other commercial agreements.
Before joining Orrick, Ms. Wang worked as Foreign Legal Adviser at the Jones Day Shanghai office and Senior Legal Executive at Deacon's Shanghai office.
Ms. Wang also practiced law as a litigator in the Shanghai Kai-Rong Law Firm where she gained experience in handling litigation cases and dispute resolution matters in the areas of shipping, international trade and insurance.
