Jude Ryan, a senior associate in Orrick’s Hong Kong office, is a member of the Corporate and Structured Finance Groups. Mr. Ryan regularly advises trustees in relation to structured finance transactions and lenders in relation to general banking and finance transactions.
Mr. Ryan’s regional experience includes asset financings in the airline industry, general banking, securitizations and other general corporate finance transactions.
Mr. Ryan has recently advised on the following transactions:
- Advised an international investment bank in relation to the registration in Vietnam of six Export Credit backed and Japanese leverage financed aircraft, including the impact on a subsequent refinancing loan, implementing cash collateral security package and further instructed by the client in relation to a second refinancing of the export credit financing and of the previous refinancing.
- Advised a syndicate of commercial lenders in relation to a US$260 million corporate loan to a major international airline secured against three aircraft previously owned by the airline.
- Assisted an international investment bank in merger/transfer matters relating to their Asian aircraft portfolio.
Before joining Orrick, Mr. Ryan was a regional legal counsel at Citibank in Hong Kong.
