Nell Scott, of counsel in the London office, regularly advises on international capital markets, M&A and private equity transactions. Nell’s clients have included major investment banks and financial institutions, as well as U.S. and foreign corporations and sovereign issuers. Nell lived and worked in Russia from 1993 to 1997 and is a fluent Russian speaker.Among other Russian transactions, Nell has advised the following. - Telenor ASA and VimpelCom Ltd. in connection with the formation of VimpelCom Ltd., a US$ 23.8 billion NYSE-listed emerging market mobile operator, the contribution of Telenor ASA's mobile assets in Russia and Ukraine to VimpelCom Ltd., and VimpelCom Ltd.'s registered U.S. exchange offer and Russian voluntary tender offer for the shares and ADRs of OJSC "Vimpel-Communications.
- Novorossyisk Commercial Sea Port on its debut Eurobond offering.
- Avindale Investments S.A. on the sale of a minority stake in OJSC "MDM Bank" to Russia Partners, a private equity fund managed by Siguler Guff & Company.
