Edwin Luk, a Corporate group partner in Orrick's Hong Kong and Beijing offices, focuses his practice on capital markets, corporate finance, private equity and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Capital Markets. Advises issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings on both the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Private Equity / Venture Capital Funds. Advises leading private equity and venture capital funds in their investments and exits from companies in China. Mr. Luk's experience includes companies in industries such as food and beverage, consumer, traditional manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, mining and resources, technology and telecom, media and entertainment.
Corporate Finance. Advises public companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and investment banks on a wide range of fund raising and other transactions including rights issues, secondary placings, convertible bonds, on going regulatory compliance, debt restructuring and other corporate matters.
Mergers and Acquisition. Advises on China based private company mergers and acquisitions transactions and other transactions involving portfolio companies of private equity funds in China and takeovers of public companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining Orrick, Mr. Luk was with O'Melveny & Myers' China group.
