June Chan, a senior associate in Orrick's Hong Kong office, is a member of the Corporate Group. Ms. Chan's practice focuses on initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, general corporate and commercial law. Ms. Chan advises issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings of securities on both the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Ms. Chan has been involved in the following recent initial public offerings, representing:
- Standard Chartered Securities (Hong Kong) Limited (formerly known as Cazenove Asia Limited) in the successful listing of China XLX Fertiliser Ltd. on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by way of introduction. This transaction represents the first dual primary listing in Hong Kong of a Singapore-incorporated and Singapore-listed company.
- China Forestry Holdings Co., Ltd. in its HK$1.55 billion (US$203 million) initial public offering on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a Rule 144A/Regulation S placement to global investors.
- Xtep International Holdings Limited, in its HK$2.2 billion (US$286 million) initial public offering on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The joint sponsors were JP Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited and UBS AG.
- Cazenove Asia Limited as sponsor of the HK$930 million (US$119 million) initial public offering, with an international placement under Rule 144A, on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of DaChan Food (Asia) Limited.
- CCB International Capital Limited as sponsor of the HK$383 million (US$49 million) initial public offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of China Starch Holdings Limited.
- Goldbond Capital (Asia) Limited and ABN AMRO Rothschild as joint sponsors of the HK$1.63 billion (US$209 million) initial public offering and listing of Golden Eagle Retail Group Limited on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with an international placement under Rule 144A.
- Good Friend International Holdings Inc. in its HK$79 million (US$10 million) initial public offering of H shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
