Summer Program
Experience Orrick
Orrick's summer program runs from late May through early August and provides law students with an opportunity to experience a realistic view of associate life at Orrick. We keep our summer associate classes small in order to provide focused and personal attention, practical training, varied assignments, extensive feedback and hands-on experience with real client matters, topped off with a variety of great social events. Our Summer 2006 class included 83 associates from 27 law schools.
Our goal is to immerse you in the firm and provide a straightforward look at our work, our people, our culture and our clients as a way to determine if there is a good fit for both Orrick and you. We work hard to provide challenging assignments that are designed to get you involved and out of the books.
A few examples of assignments performed by former summer associates include:
- assist in the preparation for trials and appeals;
- observe court proceedings, and attend depositions, hearings and negotiations;
