I completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law (London) in June 2005 and shortly after obtained a permanent paralegal position at Orrick within the Corporate Finance (Debt Trading) Department.
Even as a paralegal, I was struck by how open and friendly people were and how Orrick genuinely believe in nurturing and progressing those with drive, determination and talent.
My first seat as a trainee was in Commercial Property/Real Estate and my expectations of life as a trainee at Orrick were not disappointed. From day one I was given my own files, work-load, responsibility and exposure to clients.
As trainees, we are not only provided with "on the job" day-to-day training but also receive regular training sessions, both departmental specific and of more general application. Orrick ensure trainees are provided with the tools needed to become successful lawyers of the future.
Aside from a dynamic and professional working environment, Orrick also offers regular social and sporting functions, both for the firm as a whole and for trainees in particular.
If you can meet and overcome challenges on a daily basis, have the drive, determination and ability to succeed and wish to work in a firm with outstanding career prospects (both in the UK and abroad), receiving a benefits package that befits a leading city firm, then Orrick is the place for you. |
