Joanna joined Orrick as a trainee in September 2008.

Why Orrick?

Orrick's team spirit and genuinely friendly and welcoming attitude initially attracted me to Orrick. Combined with the firm’s dedication to providing the highest quality of training and its ambitions to continue to grow and expand internationally made the firm an obvious choice for me. My expectations of Orrick have been far surpassed!

I enjoy the constant contact with both partners and associates and consider this to be a vital element in helping trainees to develop the necessary skills to become successful lawyers. In particular, I like that way the firm involve you in transactions from the outset. Within my first week at Orrick I was attending client meetings and being asked to mark up changes to documents following negotiations. Being involved at such an early stage makes you feel as if you are contributing something to the firm and is very rewarding.

Personal Interests

Participating and watching all sports especially gymnastics, skiing and athletics, Ceroc dancing, and travelling around foreign cities.
