Background

Priyansha joined Orrick as a trainee in September 2008. After finishing her MSc she worked as a global brand manager for an international oil company involved in strategic building and marketing of the Gulf brand. Following that, she worked as a marketing consultant to an American company and then went on to do work experience at Clifford Chance before undertaking the GDL.

Why Orrick?

My research of Orrick and its approach to training revealed its unorthodox style which I found very appealing. The qualities I was looking for were:

• a firm that is at the top of its game which means finest quality work combined with all the necessary support structure;
• a firm that would provide more scope for initiative, responsibility and some frontline action;
• a firm that had a real international perspective - it is not just about sticking tacks on a world map but more importantly it is the mindset that makes the firm truly international.

Orrick simply comes up trumps in all these departments and it offers a lot more. Everyone is friendly and eager to help which makes the learning curve all the more fun!
