Background
Rickin joined Orrick as a trainee in March 2010.
Prior to joining Orrick and in-between finishing the LPC, taught English in the favela of Rocinha in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Why Orrick?
The genuine open door attitude, friendliness and team spirit is what initially attracted me to Orrick, which distinguishes it from many other law firms. This coupled with the highest quality of training from day one in all departments made it an easy choice for a place to embark upon a legal career.
Orrick is a huge firm globally and always at the forefront of looking at new innovative ways to expand within an ever changing commercial climate which is reinforced by the diversity of its clients all around the world.
Yet the smaller size of the London office and the smaller number of trainees the firm intakes each year allows trainees to be exposed to a greater amount of responsibility in each department from day one, allowing for a much more effective legal training. Partners, associates, legal secretaries and all other staff members are always willing to lend a helping hand if need be which helps one feel right at home from the first day in the office.
