I was immediately attracted to Orrick for a variety of reasons. Orrick's reputation for providing legal services of the highest quality for its clients was an obvious pull. Add to that the fact that it achieves this whilst maintaining a friendly, supportive and cooperative work environment made the prospect of training with Orrick very appealing. The training programme itself was also a key factor in my decision to join. The relatively small intake of ten trainees annually leads to greater exposure to transactional work and high profile clients from the outset. Further, with a keen interest in international affairs, and with the ever increasing globalisation of commerce, training at Orrick provides the opportunities to be involved in this process, working on cross-border transactions and with clients and other lawyers from across the globe.
