To help accommodate each firm member's family, eligible dependents include a spouse or qualified domestic partner (same-sex or opposite-sex), unmarried dependent children, stepchildren and domestic partner's children. The firm's pregnancy/disability and childcare leave policy provides for two months of paid leave for the birth mother or primary caregiver. Orrick offers fathers and non-primary caregivers with paid leave of up to two weeks. Unpaid childcare leave may be given to any lawyer in connection with providing childcare.
